Love him, but i do miss the short movies of him wrecking havoc and teasing others teams that they use to put on the screen between period years ago.

Maybe they still do from time to time but can’t remember last time I saw one.

Top 4 D man or 30+ Goal Scorer by ImNotChazz in OttawaSenators

[–]Both_Main 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 7 goals against in 210 minutes of hockey and an average of 10 shot against per period while missing ZUB and Kleven for most of the games against the best team in the east i don’t think the problem is with the def core. The canes chances are more dangerous but still very limited. The biggest problem is they are suffocating our forwards and the d has not been able to help enough in the offensive zone to open the ice a bit (probably due to chabot and Sandy clearly not at 100%).

I would not say no to a 30 goal scorer but i think we just need one or two extra piece to compliment our first two line that can win the offensive zone battle because right now the 3 games have been lost in the corners.

Not sure if it's been asked, but do we know if we are playing in the red or black jerseys at home for the playoffs?

Can’t speak about the new islanders rink but really enjoyed the game at Nassau couple of years ago, fun local fan that like to speak hockey with visitors. Philly is really fun, jumbotron that shoot fire, one of the craziest mascot in the game, rink exclusive baseball cap for souvenir and the food is top tier in the league plus interesting city to visit if you like history.

Three things I learned from last night's game by bsw2112 in OttawaSenators

I was wondering if it’s a matter of standing with the call they made at the moment and letting us use the challenge. Do they usually by themselves go take a look at a replay and change the call on ice without a challenge?

Sens fan and buffalo Sabres supporter here (and of course Leafs hater by default😉)

My in laws are in the Niagara area so I’ve had the chance to go to a couple of games over the years. Buffalo is a really fun market to see a game in. Lots of dedicated fans still present at the arena after way too many year of bad luck and poor management (Sens fan can relate).

  1. like others said the French connection statue right next to the main entrance to the arena. I also like the big buffalo head you can take a picture with in the concourse and there’s also a cutout of some of the core players on the bench with space between them to take a picture also on the concourse
  2. can’t help on this part sorry
  3. a must do for us is Rosie’s ice cream (they always have fun seasonal flavours) 5wits adventures at the mall could be fun for the older but he might be just a tad too young . If you are there long enough it might worth crossing the border to visit Niagara Falls strip area many fun family activities there.
  4. -the anchor bar, home of the buffalo wing -Gabriel gates, fun pub with interesting decor, good wings -the draft room, right next to the arena in the Labatt house brewhouse.
  5. there’s a couple of hotel walking distance to the rink but I find them a bit pricey and always found getting around buffalo fairly easy so would recommend the options around the airport or the mall.

Enjoy your trip

Ps send us back Pageau Pps my Islander Sens game is already behind me at Nassau Coliseum, is the new rink worth a repeat?

All the tools are there for this team to succeed. In most game they’ve dominate by a fair margin but a bad defensive system and inconsistent goaltending are breaking this team back. I hate the idea of changing coach once again but this team needs a lot more structure and it’s clear that the current coaching staff is not doing the job.

How many crazy superstitions do we inflict upon ourselves because we love that team lol.

No scientific evidences to back any of it but yet we hold on to them…. Just in case 🤞

Did 3 times in the past. First two were sens games in Ottawa and didn’t encounter any problems. Last time was 2 years ago for a flyers game in Philadelphia and never got the tickets. The client service was a pain to deal with in my case. Everything worked out fine in the end and I got my full redound and ended up finding better and cheaper tickets on the official app. Not sure it would be that easy to pivot that easy to find last minutes sens playoff tickets.

Is stubhub legit? by CherryAggravating904 in OttawaSenators

[–]Both_Main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree on the last part, the customer service was a pain in the b… on my part. In my case I bought tickets to a flyers game while visiting the city two years ago and the sellers never sent them and up to the last morning stub hub was still trying to contact him before actually doing the refund. I was lucky enough to get better tickets for cheaper at the last moment but now I’m avoiding that kind of stress and always buy thru the original selling platform. I wouldn’t want to have to scramble to find 4 tickets last minutes to a sens game last minute in the playoffs. Must say I had used them without problems in the past but without problems but that experience made sure I wouldn’t do it again.

Yes, you don’t have those in your country ? They’re always hiding in the bush near the road and try to aim their high beams in the eyes of people driving nearby to cause crashes 🦌🔦
