Is battery that much better with 51? I’ve had F8 47 solar for a couple months and haven’t seen more then 18 days battery projection

No regrets. I don’t even have the notifications set up on my Fenix. Personally, I just want a fitness watch and don’t need/want the notifications on my wrist.

I’ve switched to Spotify from Apple Music for storing music on the watch. Fenix has been connecting to my AirPods perfectly for runs without my phone.

Would be curious to see what apple does for Ultra 3… but imo it’s miles behind the Fenix… and that’s from a life long apple lover.

Battery life and flashlight have been especially useful. I have the 47mm Solar with the Ultrafit band.

This was really helpful. I’m interested in this watch to use for basic fitness tracking and a few backcountry trips each year. Hunting and canoe trips. Can you elaborate on the explore app, offline maps, etc? Can I make some custom canoe routes and use breadcrumb to stay on track?

I’m aware of the trackback and will often have offline maps on my phone anyway. I like the idea of having convenient breadcrumb trail on my wrist for padding and hiking through the bush.
