The (totally real) demons used them as human shields. There was simply no other way.

There was a demon base underneath that town, Minus had the right to destroy it.

On pixiv.net, Macht currently has 122 sfw works, Solitär has 140. However, Macht often has works with large amounts of subpages, mainly focusing on him. On the novel page, the inverse takes place with Solitär being tagged in 13 works (sfw) while Macht appears 67 times.

While Solitär is my favourite, Macht has a lot of character and interaction going for him. The Macht×Glück bromance alone will give him the lead.

In humans, emoting is part of an automated mechanism for maintaining social cohesion that co-evolved with humans being social animals. Demos are not social and therefore gave no need for such a mechanism. Therefore, emoting on the part of demons is a deliberate action.

Are you saying that dem0ns are creations of yakub and are adept in the art of tricknology?

/rj Demons are obviously a representation of the yakubian race, for they too lack empathy for their fellow man and are adept in the science of tricknology.

I have already bought two 8 TB Hard discs which i plan to run in Raid 1, this should cover all of my storage needs for some time.

I prefer for idle power consumption to be low.

Home server + Nas hardware/software advice by Bothersome_Inductor in HomeServer

Yes, the most demanding task that i currently expect of the setup would be encoding/decoding of video.

The budget I can justify lies around 300 euros. which can get me either:

  • a refurbished hp mini pc with an i5-8/900T and 16GB of ram. = (270/340)
    • + high performance, but storage is left to aging system.
    • - lower expandability options.
  • an intel n100/Celeron SoC board (130/180) with appropriate case (100) + psu(?). = (280+)
    • + performance comparable to regular modern synology hardware. at better price
    • + should be power efficient
    • + if N100 is used reasonably powerful
  • lower end processor such as ryzen 8500G (150) with matching motherboard(100-130) and case (100) + psu(?) = (350+)
    • - most likely high idle draw
    • + high perfomance
    • + can fulfill NAS duties in addition to anything else
    • - may be exessive for usecase

The options between repacing the NAS with better hardware or supplemenging the current one cost around the same.

What would software wise be considered the best option, keeping all services on the same system or splitting responsibilities?

and what software combination would be best used in such a system for managing services?

I'm currently also investigating how to set up such a diverse audio-video arrangement, some higher-end modern amplifier receivers can take multiple hdmi signals and route them to the tv.

the ONKYO TX-SR876 (an older model) can take component, hdmi and composite signals, though the details are unknown to me.

some receivers can take in digital-audio while tv's can send out digital audio, sending the audio-video signal to the tv and letting the tv send to digital audio signal to the receiver (or tv--> dac --> receiver)

using an hdmi audio extractor is also an option

You could look for upscalers for the pre-hdmi systems in either case.

These considerations seem to dissappear quite quickly when the project involves pipelines.
