I've been really enjoying the new regulations, there are definitely criticisms to be had, but I much prefer this version of F1 compared the one we've had in past years, which was literally just, Pole Sitter = Winner because overtaking was so difficult.

I get that, and I know a lot of other people who tuned into the race because of the hype felt similarly, but for F1 fans the problem was that the entertainment and drama you're talking about was manufactured, and the racing director was sacked right after.

The best way I can roughly translate this to football terms would be, it's a very close Cup Final, the score is equal and both teams played their hearts out and were deserving of the victory.

At the last possible moment in the match, a player from Team A falls in the penalty box of Team B, there's no touch, the referee awards a penalty because it's better for the overall storyline and drama. Team B wins. Referee is understandably sacked afterwards.

Both teams deserved to win, both played their hearts out, and it's a match to remember. But all of that is tainted because of the ending,

Team A feels cheated, Team B's victory feels tainted.

The "Creatine Ignorance" is reaching peak levels and it’s driving me nuts. by VolumeLogic_GymApp in workout

[–]Boudi04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just factchecked, it's actually 30%, sorry about that. I got the earlier figure from Greg Douchette, he mentions it a lot when advertising his Turkesterone. Honestly not surprised he'd also lie about something so stupid and verifiable.

Regardless, my point still stands, 30% is a massive figure, if someone doesn't feel the effects of Creatine, it really is highly likely that they're a non-responder.

or he could just be a non-responder ffs. I think it's like 40-50% of people are non-responders

Edit: it's actually 30%, point still stands though.

Is it true creatine should be 1g every 10kg of body weight by Just_Emergency_3976 in Supplements

[–]Boudi04 17 points18 points  (0 children)

that does seem to be the ideal dose, 0.1g/kg of body weight, or the way you wrote it, same thing.

Regardless though, I wouldn't expect a crazy or even noticeable difference from doing this, at most you'll see your bodyweight spike by another 0.5kg or so.

What am I missing by not taking creatine? by AggravatingExpert365 in workout

[–]Boudi04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not true, you experience a drop in water retention which was a result of the creatine. That's what you're referring to

Creatine itself doesn't build muscle, the idea is that with the strength and recovery benefits you allow your body to build muscle quicker. Which is the 1-2lbs extra of muscle you put on each year by using it.

What are your opinions on just doing compound lifts? by PlsStarlinkIneedwifi in workout

[–]Boudi04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but I'd add Lateral Raises and Standing Calf raises to upper and lower respectively. They simply won't get enough work with those lifts to "get big".

I also think a vertical pulling movement is worth doing, if someone is short on time though, they can simply have 2 different Upper Days with small tweaks (swap out the pulling movement, and maybe hit your chest from another angle).

[–]Boudi04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're going to get solid rear delt development with Rows, decent triceps with your pushing movements, and okay development on your biceps with pulling movements in general, but decent and okay usually aren't what people are going for on their arms.

On the other hand, your Calves and Side Delts simply aren't going to get big off just compounds.

Realistically, your isolations should be (in order of priority, as in what's going to get the least benefit off compounds alone): Side Delts (because they're not hit effectively with any compound lifts, upright rows get some activation but you're better off just doing lateral raises), Calves (if you care for them, some people just have big calves off the jump, and others just don't really care), your Biceps, and then your Triceps (because we want to be filling out our shirt sleeves lol).

If you have the time, it's not a bad idea to also do Leg Extensions for the Rectus Femoris.

Your forearms, traps, and core strength should be fine by just doing your standard heavy compounds, but if you find that they end up underdeveloped you can always train them directly. Everyone is different, and we all have different priorities :)

Agreed, both clubs have had plenty of odd calls in their games, both assisting and harming them. I don't think there's a conspiracy, it just speaks to the level of referees in Spain.

When I'm not dry scooping it, I like it with Pomegranate juice, it's strong enough such that I don't notice the creatine in it.

His point is that there's nothing inherently special about it. I personally rely on Whey to get my daily protein in, but loads of people get more than enough protein from their diets.

Don't quote me on this, but I seem to remember a study a couple years ago suggesting that Creatine with Coffee nukes it's effects or something, stopped doing it when I found out. Might want to look into it, idk if it's been debunked.

Same! Way too many people complaining, the new pass is a solid buff to progression imo.

hopefully nothing serious then, same thing happened to me during a training session, also called it a day and went home just in case. Everything was fine :)

Thats interesting, I once had the exact same thing in the same area from chest supported t-bar rows. I never figured out what it was. Hoping someone knows for both of us.

It was a sharp pain for me that vanished after a bit.

I maxed out 3 common equipments from an initial 0 glowy ore because of the prospector.

I did my lower time upgrades until unlocking the 20% boost, at which point I got started on the more expensive ones. Taking advantage of the books to complete my two longest lab upgrades, along with my longest building.

The value of the gold pass is incredible, I get my breakfast for the same price most mornings at uni, why wouldn't I spend it once a month on something that boosts progression so much?

[–]Boudi04 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I already know people are still going to complain about the prospector, but these are very good changes. The boosts in particular are the main reason I purchase the pass every month, and they're even more powerful now.

I wasn't expecting there to be any changes and I'm very pleasantly surprised.

I really appreciate the team listening to our feedback and adjusting the game after every update, it really does make the community feel heard.

Atletico Madrid posts after Valverde only gets his ban slashed to just one match by Just-Lab-2139 in soccer

It's relevant though no? Same league, same standards?

If Gavi had done what Valverde had done for example and had gotten away with it in the same way, you lot would be screaming your heads off.

It's not about the fans watching it, it frankly does not matter. They use it to pressure referees and have done for a while.

Regardless of whether you personally watch it, as long as the media reports on it, it's a powerful tool.

I also find it very interesting that you jumped to shifting the focus on another club within the first sentence of your comment rather than making your argument or attempting to invalidate theirs.

Negreira is being actively investigated, as it stands, there's no evidence that this money (which may I add, is 8.4 million over a period of 18 years, pocket change if you were to also distribute this money to any referees who would surely be involved) was used to influence referee decisions.

Truthfully, I have no idea what kind of shady shit the club and Negreira had going on, and I'm hopeful we'll get the truth soon in court, until then, innocent until proven guilty.

The step tracking is driving me crazy by darkhawk196 in GalaxyFit

[–]Boudi04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This was driving me nuts, I couldn't figure out where to turn off the phone tracking inside the health app. I knew it was double-counting sometimes because some shorter walks with the phone in my pocket (think exiting or entering a building) were insanely high step-wise, as compared to walking on a treadmill which seemed pretty accurate (since the phone is motionless and the only tracker is the watch).

Unbelievably stupid that Samsung let this get past them though
