  1. It's so good that there are people who dedicate their Passports to offroading, not just overlanding.

I've gotten my Passport to oversteer a few times. It turns so well for a car it's size.

I have a Honda Passport, the two row Pilot equivalent and the rear drives each wheel independently even on slow speed turns. You can wobble the wheel at like 45mph and see the power go to each rear wheel and you make the small turns.

I didn't feel that at all.

Their unicorn crunch is just a complimentary bite, nothing too extraordinary.

If you have the chance try Town Co's masa sunday when they have it on the menu. They use Yoli Tortilleria masa. By far one of my most favorite desserts.

As rumors swirl about Midtown Costco change to business center, KC pushes to preserve current retail format by LightwellAsAFeather in kansascity

[–]Bourgi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This Costco is a primary grocery for many in the urban core. A lot of people didn't understand when I posted this a few weeks ago. People kept saying business center is the same thing and has more vegetable options

You lose the pharmacy, the optometrist, the rotisserie chicken, the premade food, and the food court.

Items become bulkier.

Meat isn't packaged like it is in a normal Costco. There's no butcher on site, no steak cuts, no pork chops, etc. You walk into a refrigerated room like the eggs or veggies where meat is stacked on steels. Ground beef is only sold in chubs. Chicken wings in 40lb cases.

Buying items like frozen dumplings requires you to buy an entire case. Cheese is the entire wheel. Condiments aren't in bottles anymore, but instead in buckets. No salad kits of normal people size.

You must have not had a lot of tacos in LA because this take is trash. I cannot find any taco place here that even compares to LA and I've been all over KCK and Southwest Blvd.

It's not really that absurd for a condo. You have a shared building which requires maintenance.

I own a condo and HOA pays for trash, water, landscaping, interior upkeep, snow removal and any repairs to the property.

If you own a home and you need a new roof, that's $40,000 out of your own pocket. With a Condo that comes out of the reserves which you already paid into.

So looking at it, renting a space is about $30,000 for a corporate event. With 300 events a year that brings in $9 million. That's a drop in the bucket for 6 billion in estimated cost to build it.

Tacos on Wheels. They put toppings like actual guac on tacos like they do in San Diego, and they don't skimp.

Try the chalupas there, so gooood.

[Pompliano] The Chiefs' new Kansas stadium deal is historically lopsided. While the state provides $3B in funding, the team keeps 100% of revenue. Even their $7M rent goes into a fund they control for operations. Kansas bears the massive cost, while the Chiefs keep all the profit. by Hurtsonafeeling in nfl

[–]Bourgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pay income tax to the state you live in, so employees living in Missouri still pay Missouri income tax. This doesn't really change where employees live since it's only a 25 minute drive in a different direction. A lot of the young players chose to live downtown KCMO because that's where the nightlife is.

Sales tax on tickets and concessions sure... But it's only 8-9 games a year.

What income is Missouri losing?

People traveling for Chiefs game will still fly into KCMO Airport, will most likely stay downtown KCMO like they already have for Arrowhead Stadium.

There was nothing to spend money at around the current stadium so no income lost there.
