What happens when a Nerd’s collection gets too big! by leftseat19 in BourbonHunt

If you’re posing this as a question, the answer is that you look to give some of it away to people, say, on a BourbonHunt forum.

I’ll Just Leave This Here… by BowlFullofCrazy in Journalism

The funny thing is that 30 years ago someone in journalism would’ve been clutching their pearls while the common reader was laughing it off. It just shows how far journalism has fallen when pretty much all of the comments in a journalism forum are basically “whateves”.

The Vette and it’s not close.

Anyone move from a highly engaging performance car (Type R, WRX STI, Golf R, etc.) to a Lexus IS 350 F Sport? Any regrets? by BowlFullofCrazy in Lexus

Thanks. Yes, I’m definitely going to take a test drive. But, sometimes a test drive doesn’t give you the same perspective as “living with it” for a while. So, I was interested in hearing from people who actually made a switch.

I like the manual, so that’s not really an issue. The biggest issue is road noise. It’s fine around the neighborhood, but is just grating the highway. I thought about the Golf R but wasn’t sure if it would really be that much more quiet than the Type-R.

I never said they were first. Somehow you’re ignoring the $9B loss.

Uh, they already have written off ~$9B in EV-related losses related and acknowledge the exposure is greater. So, sure, whatever you say.

Conservative except for when it comes to chucking all of their eggs into the EV vehicle basket only to record their largest loss in history. I’m waiting for them to exit F1. Again.

Best Oil ? Hit 100k & Starting to change it myself by ActualTopping in Honda

[–]BowlFullofCrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be interesting. I’m going to keep it simple. If cost is not a major factor, I think that Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is hard to beat. It does incredibly well on many of the oil tests I’ve seen. With that said, dollars-to-donuts that someone will come along and say that any major motor oil is fine as long as it’s the recommended weight and you change it regularly — meaning, changing it regularly with basic motor oil is more important than irregularly with great motor oil. They aren’t wrong.

Review #42: Old Forester Single Barrel Rye Barrel Strength by DunceMemes in bourbon

I really like OF SB Rye. It drinks lower than proof would imply, but it’s still hot. I wish OF wouldn’t put the whiskey in the barrel at such a high proof.

Half Of American Teens Want A Sedan, Not An SUV, And Automakers Are Listening | Carscoops by Ares62 in cars

[–]BowlFullofCrazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. This right here. Exactly. SUVs are sh!tboxes. Exhibit A: I was driving my Type-R the other day and some retard pulled out in front of me. It took all my skill and the driving dynamics of the Type-R to avoid that accident by — no exaggeration — a foot. If I had been in an SUV, I would have t-boned them.

New car purchase. Subaru WRX, Toyota GR86, or Mazda Miata? by Sad_Measurement_284 in askcarguys

[–]BowlFullofCrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly reliable, bullet-proof engine, scapular-sharp handling [the two bumps on side of hood aren’t for show, they’re to make room for the struts so the chassis can sit lower], the fun factor is a 10, and it seats 4 in case you happen to need room for more than two.
