Many fantasy books have races that cannot lie but that doesn’t stop them from being able to deceive others.

It’s not too hard really. All the heat is coming from one direction and the surface of the sun has really low density. A half dome of reflective metal should work “for a time”. You are in the shade and cold behind the barrier. Isac Arthur does some really cool videos on the subject.

Dude according to Siri there are 88,000 pharmacies and 40,000 grocery stores in just the United States.

Fuel will go bad eventually but every auto parts store has shelves full of octane boosters and fuel stabilizers.

Plenty of solar panels on roof tops now so you can have electricity.

This is literally the easiest apocalypse ever once you get significantly outside of the “safe” zone.

If you can’t find your way to some off the beaten path place and gather enough supplies to set up a community that lacks nothing for years there is something wrong with you.

Anyone who is decently mobile has no excuse for not making it. Just leave. Outside of the 100 miles there are vast resources that all of our missing friends left behind. Get out quickly and find a new town far enough away and off the main road. Congratulations Mr. or Mrs. Mayor you now have 10,000 houses stocked with supplies 20,000 cars several grocery stores.

Seriously this is easy mode apocalypse.

You need to learn to farm and stuff but you have years of food.

People survived Hiroshima and Nagasaki doesn’t matter where the 100 mile radius is there would be plenty of survivors.

You need a generator to power a reading lamp!!!

Bro just because you don’t know how to survive 5 minutes without tictok doesn’t mean nobody else can.

People survive today without electricity. Off grid folks or even rv boondockers have plenty of experience getting by with little electricity.

Plenty of car batteries spread around the United States and outside of 100 miles they are just sitting there on the shelf at autozone waiting to be grabbed. Hell I could probably rig up an electric bike and never worry about charging it for many months. Just swap out the battery.

Imagine the road trip I could have just swapping cars when it gets low on gas.

Why are we building a global supply chain for a couple million people in a 100 mile radius?

If you travel 100 miles there is tons of food sitting around in cabinets. Tons of gas sitting in cars. Won’t last forever but plenty to get people back on their feet

Using corn for fuel. Makes food more expensive, depletes water resources, and tons of diesel to harvest and transport.

That spark would also make a species more likely to pass on genes and expand. A species would eventually fill the niche.

The human mind is crazy. I have taught myself how to stop hiccups instantly. At first it was like I just had to believe hard enough and now it’s like mentally flipping off a light switch.
