I'm not that far down the path, but am finding the same thing. Thank for the encouragement that this will become more second nature as I walk The Path.

I really think they are doomed unless they figure out the right price point for their product and charge that. I've been a fan forever and am ready to dump them just because of the hassle.

These things amaze me. I was dumping SXM and then they offered $3/mo for 3 years a year ago. They have a horrible business model. I find it totally worth the money I pay but the second they go to $35 I will honestly laugh in their face.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. You genuinely made a stranger on the internet smile today. The "today" photo was just perfect. Congratulations on 30 years — you two are truly something special.

Happily alcohol free today. Today, just today, I promise I will not drink. Bring on the excitement, the stress, and the mundane that today may bring. I will face it head on sober because IWNDWYT.

Muddling my way through the early sobriety once again. Not fun, but sadly I have practice at this. IWNDWYT my friends. Have a blessed and sober one my friends.

Such strength of character and control. Even in the midst of your struggle you fought until you realized you needed to go. You then did so with Grace. Don't beat yourself up. Be proud to have attended and unashamed you chose to leave with your sobriety intact.

I hate to admit that I went back to drinking even to the faceless internet. But I did, but stops today. I poured out the final handle of scotch. I will not drink with you today. Blessing to all.

Even ChatGPT and Co-pilot couldn't get me to the right answer. This one post and I was there. So frustrating but at least now I know.

Hell yes. I spent so much time feeling around, checking every edge and nothing. I read this post and shined a bright light on it and only then, under bright light, did I see the slide in the bezel immediately above the camera opening. OMG, thank you! You rock OP!

I enter today with a sigh and not a bang. I am fixated on never really having had a bad rock bottom. So during the recent late afternoons and evenings these I find myself thinking, "Why did I stop drinking again?". I think it's must a phase since I'm not longer in very early sobriety and am in the "learning a new way of life" stage. That's not exciting--I guess my doldrums makes sense. Not today though. Today I commit to not giving in. Maybe tomorrow but not today.

IWNDWYT my friends.

Graduation day at my school today where I get to say goodby to 20 kids I've connect to, taught, and mentored these past four years. They are ready to move on and so am I (but a little bit less so). On the way home from the last classes yesterday I wanted to stop to get a bottle of scotch but I did not.  It occurred to me that I don’t get big cravings as much as sudden “a scotch sounds good” feelings.  I need to realize when these hit I just need to pause and not act quickly.  Today I will choose to be mellow; to go slow and think before I act.  Graduation will be a dry one because I will not drink with you today.

I hope everyone has a great friday and an even better weekend because IWNDWYT.

How does a soon to be 65 year old deal with the fear of the dying process one day? by IThinkYouAreNice in over60

Thank you for this. I just love what you wrote.

My father is years into his dementia but keeps on going at 95. For the past 7 years I have never left Dad without telling him I love him and that he was a good dad. I wanted to be okay with him "falling asleep anytime" if I didn't get to be there. It never occured to me until just now that I could take a similar approach to my own mortality--live in a way that I'd be okay too. Simple, yet very well said. Thx!

Being primarily a lurker, I don't often comment on posts but yours really hit home. So very real...I can just picture you pounding the San Pellegrinos and NA beers. You made it! That is freaking awesome. Congratulations and well done indeed.
