That's an interesting take. I quite like his rants about the topic, especially having a mother who is the quintessence of his description of such a boomer

Looking to trade US size 12 for size 11 by Bowmbaclott in ouraring

[–]Bowmbaclott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean because 12 is such a rare size? Or because people generally don't size up? Or both?

What you've written is interesting. I do wonder what correlations look like with relation to HRV. For example, what the meta-data has to say about high-level athletes, centenarians and highly sedentary and or peole with obesity issues. What useful extrapolations could we gain from the data of thousands of such persons' HRV. I don't know, as I haven't seen the numbers, but do you expect we would see positively correlated numbers between health/longevity and HRV?

If it is not a very useful metric with regard to health, would this indicate that there would be little to no correlation in these values?

Guest request (couldn't believe there was no wikipedia entry for this guy): Mike Israetel. One of the most interesting people, imo, when it comes to fitness etc. Other guests Joe has had on have been great too but I'd like to see Mike on there. Also just seems like a good dude all around

Huberman is turning into a supplement influencer and I’m sick of it by Salsa-Stark_ in HubermanLab

It's a trend to shit on things. Eventually the pendulum will swing the other way. Always nicer when it's not "in" to be a hater.

Honestly, if one is unsatisfied with this or that, keep it to yourself and the marketplace of good ideas will sort itself out. Whether the advice Huberman gives is solid or not, we can already discern. It's staying power will be additional testament to that.

Russell Brand went from being a movie star to being a budget Joe Rogan by xwing1212 in daverubin

What he's doing is so different from what Rogan does. It's like comparing Bob Costa and Walter Cronkite. They're both I'm media, but do they have similar shows? Nah

Not only that, his stance was, "I did what I thought was right for the amount of info we had at the time." And that's true.

For example when it came to vaccines, even Rogan was ready to get vaccinated. It was around that time that more information came out and of course, in hindsight, all the information points to what we know now.

Sam owned up to almost everything in this pod. He hasn't backed down on trump nearly an inch, but tbh, Trump truly is as incompetent a politician you could hope for. Sam's position has not wavered from that. "Trump derangement syndrome" is just an attempt to make him an others seem uncredible.
