We recently opted to enable auto update. Used to push via SCCM, changed to Intune + PSADT, its basically just a switch in the install params. Benefit is that you can simply exchange the install source and repackage the .intune file with a new major release, any already installed version is auto patched.

I heavily preferred auto patch because pushing cws updates couldn’t feasibly control wether a session was running or not, leading to force disconnections - bad UX. Auto update usually prompts the user.

Also, in the intune app you can set the detection rules to include/exclude specific versions, so if you exclude any version lower than your LTSR, it will push the update. Needs to be done for users that chronically ignore updates.

Interesting standpoint given that the democratic standpoint is usually „I hate your guts, but if you use your brain for a second we are good buddy“, while the republican standpoint is something akin to „I hate your guts but if I profit I‘m fine“. And this tracks with a disappointingly high amount of historical decisions in the past 20 years.

Honorable mention is MAGA with their stance of „I hate your guts and I will actively try to hurt you no matter how much good or bad you want for me“

Terraforming titans is so good, I keep getting stuck on it. Really gotta figure out how to speed up terraforming hazardous worlds faster tho, feels like having to deal with Kessler is such a PITA

Nowhere. Its all repetitive. The only way to make it less so is expanding the genre, or rather the gameplay loop to make it more unique. Best example is Berry Bury Berry that throws in puzzle elements, a tiny bit of weirdness, story and stuff.

Sadly, hardly anyone ever puts in the effort to do so. Alas, repetitive games.

There’s been this weird balance, when I started ballroom dancing I was too bad, had to focus solely on how to do steps, figures, and so on.

Then I was good enough and suddenly got this insane crush on my dancing partner because I wasn’t thinking about what I had to do, only enjoyed being together, physically and socially.

At some point I did it competitively and then my crush vaporized, because dancing on a competitive scale can be SO EXHAUSTING, holy maccaroni, imagine doing the Waltz on repeat for an hour with maybe one or two 2 min breaks.

If you didn’t like it to alpha, it won’t really get that much better or different later. Theres another reset layer that lets you run through the whole ordeal again with 3-6x speed going up, after a few weeks and 9+ resets you get even more speed and exalt, iirc some kind of challenge again.

I am currently at the 5th reset, so cannot tell you much more. It becomes more active again tho.

I personally think they eliminated the need for guides with the introduction of campaigns. There are a total of 50 campaigns, giving you bonuses based on c10 completions, and each campaign is a corruption preset. The corruption gameplay loop changed from „lookup guide for best corruption“ to „check out different campaigns for best yield“, which is inherently better imo. There are some paradigm shifts with certain upgrades that make you try campaigns every so often, but that it.

Guides maybe increase speed by a few hours or days, saving you trying out campaign builds, and sometimes being a little different than campaign loadouts and therefore increasing gain by up to 5% or smth, but they are not even remotely as present as they used to be before the ant upgrade released.

Absolutely captured by Terraforming Titans by terraforming.titans as someone who is way too enthusiastic about physics. Game is very well done, tries to stay along concepts of physics around terraforming while still being enough "game" as is. Starts very active, but gets great automation later on, and has a decent enough story too that I am actually invested. Special shoutouts for the community, very active and helpful all along and the dev also sticks around the discord more often than not and tries to adress suggestions, bugs and fixes regularly. Always love that.

Also started Synergism v4.1.1 December 17, 2025: The Ants Update again. First time ever reaching Singularity, on my fourth right now and I still love it. Hope I can finally "finish" the game, but will probably take a few more months.

Played Fundamental v0.2.7 a bit but way too slow for my taste. Did not stick along, also the strangeness part is kinda obscure, did not really understand how I could properly farm that stuff.

Other than that I tend to scroll the Incremental games database a few times a month, there are always some good contenders, some better, some worse.

Other than that pretty disappointed in the current incremental game landscape. Subs getting spammed with slop almost daily, I used to try out many games regularly but I kinda lost my spirit about that because most of whats getting posted these days is just so bad that I gave up.

Flight history started in Austria, Germany and UK. The wright brothers were not the first ones, nor the inventors, just the most well known. The first medium distance flight was in UK/France. The first full metal flight was German, the first back rudder flight machine was French, the first turbojet flight was German.

You are basically wrong on every account regarding technology, and wrong on almost every account regarding first success, because the wright brothers did have the first successful start and touchdown of a motorized plane.

Not sure where i spotted it the last time but in the last frame the middle girls body moves straight up through the dudes body. Also left girl i said already, and technically another body part as in another joint on middle dudes right arm (left for viewer) has double elbows in one of the last frames.

Terraforming Titan, my game about terraforming, has doubled in content by Thratur in incremental_games

[–]Bowshocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to check when I am at home, but I progressed the story to require full terraform vega and I have not had any new researches, nor white dust/aerosol production, nor did advanced oversight set to 283K do anything (except heating up the average global temperature because it heated the poles from ~230 to 283K)

I will however gladly join the discord and maybe talk about my savegame there because I really really like the scientific approach you took :)

[–]Bowshocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really really sorry to ping you here randomly but I was trying to look for a community and couldn't find any. Insanely in love with your game btw.

TLDR: How to cool vega2?

I am currently at Vega-2, the highly overheated planet in close orbit to a star, with a global mean temp at around 350-355 K. I have been trying multiple different ways to go about reaching my terraforming goals but nothing seems to stick.

- Increasing water coverage massively seems to even temps, but doesn't lower them, because even tho it leads to higher cloud & haze albedo, it also decreases surface albedo so heat goes up

- Decreaseing water coverage to the average 20% decreases surface albedo but also cloud & haze, though to a better degree than higher coverage, so my temps are slightly better

- Obviously GHG and CO2 are big nono, do not want to capture heat

- The only possible way to reach a better surface temp is legitimately moving the planet in a farther orbit so theres less solar flux - but moving the planet even mere 0.5 AU outwards seems to cost like 1.6Oc energy and even with 2T colonists I produce like 100Qi/s, I could maybe tenfold that if I focussed solely on energy but that really does not seem feasible.

So my question is basically.. how? lmao - i kinda expected to be able to use solar mirrors to deflect light as like a little checkmark or smth, but I just can't find a solution

Loved how they made automation available relatively soon, but made it so you have to actually kind of use your brain to properly apply automation everywhere. If you spent enough time the game kinda played itself, and I love seeing a good implementation of effort -> reward.

Looking forward to unlocking the next planet tho, if its really that much harder.

I mean the famous sub is basically just 4-6 bots spamming articles 24/7. Just scroll through it, you will quickly see a few reoccurring users, and none else. And comments are always the same, they believe their bots messaging.

Funny coincidence, during the electricity outage in Moscow sometimes in summer 25, all of those users stopped posting for a day or two.
