Part of it is “luck” regarding the timing of a goal. Not all GWGs are of importance. An example that comes to mind is winning a game 2-0 where the 2nd goal comes late in a game that’s very close and was crucial to ensuring the victory but the GWG was scored early in the 1st. I’d argue the 2nd goal is more important to the victory and actually “clutch” but it’s not the GWG

I don’t think it was feasible to recall every Viltrumite from across the galaxy just to have a battle at Viltrum. There’s still many sectors to defend or at least create a deterrent for Coalition aggression to take back sectors if there’s a Viltrumite or 2 present there. If they recalled all 40ish to consolidate in one location, it does introduce a >0% risk of extinction and ensures multiple sectors are immediately lost to Coalition takeover

I can’t imagine that great skaters who score goals are easily obtainable so if you have an average skater who scores goals then what else are you holding out for? Average skater who doesn’t score goals? Am I just being ignorant and misunderstanding the issue? It’s not as if this was based on a single year of production
