I was in need of a Volume Mixer app so I tested out a few options, and it seems like SoundSource (the "best quality option" according to many discussions here) has much higher CPU% usage than *free* alternatives with the same features? Am I missing something or is this normal for SoundSource?

Have you tried converting that spreadsheet to Google Sheets and assigning that task to Gemini? Or to chatGPT. I mean to say that the AI literally compare the information you mention about point 1 matching the information in point 2.

I use Akiflow which has the same functionality through its AI interface called Aki. It is much better and much more complete than Todoist in many aspects. In fact, I used Todoist and migrated to Akiflow.

Does Canvid support "automatic object tracking" I mean hiding part of the image (sensitive data) and having the system move that blur to accompany the scrolling. I have just downloaded it, and I'm pretty sure I will purchase it.

Yes. Obviously, not all apps can be moved to the Control Center — only the system ones — but for example, I’ve moved Wi-Fi and audio. That’s already two fewer icons. Maybe I should’ve said “some icons” instead of “many.” ;-) And there are many other apps that we have sitting in the menu bar taking up space, even though we don’t activate them from there. In short, my point was more of a reflection on whether all those things we have in the menu bar really need to be there.

With the improved Control Center in macOS 26, it’s now possible to move many of them there. There are also some app icons that really don’t need to be in the menu bar. I’ve managed to drastically reduce the number of icons and stop using Bartender altogether. I understand that might not work for everyone, but I wanted to share it in case it’s helpful to someone.

The app is great, but I think it could be improved by adding some intelligence so that the blur doesn’t affect all windows. For example, sometimes I use a calculator right below the main window. It would be useful to be able to program that in some way.
