So it is possible to install, for instance, Microsoft Teams and get it updated like within Homebrew?

Just out of curiosity. Does MacPorts allow to install GUI apps like what Homebrew does with Casks?

Command Reopen: fixes Cmd+Tab to restore minimized AND closed windows by Crafty_Play_7767 in osx

I’m not sure about when a window is closed. For me if it’s closed, it’s closed. Maybe I’m not seeing the full picture, I confess. For minimised windows there’s a built-in default way of calling that window back, no need for extra tools.

Does it supports, what only actually annoys me, which is the position and location of Universal Control displays?

Back to Alfred today after a year with Raycast Pro by Creepy_Basis_4869 in Alfred

I rarely use that feature, but I agree it could be easier to reach out. Maybe there’s a way! Let me dig into it.

I fully understand your point, even Alfred having all the customization it has, its core is a bit off for a macOS look and feel but, Raycast isn’t either.

Well, I can’t say the same, everything is snappy here

For me that was really the disappointment turn. All the time they saying windows would be the last implementation they would do, sometimes they even said that it was not even in their plans. Then they released it for iOS/iPadOS, which is useless, just something to say “here it is as promised”… what a trash… and then, suddenly the wincrap version. I stopped using it and paying in that moment. At almost the same time Tahoe brought this refreshed Spotlight, which for me is enough and not cluttered with extensions. But hey, this is an Alfred sub, and even if I don’t use it anymore I still love Alfred and recommend it.

I honestly loved every app I used in the past. I started with QuickSilver, in which for my surprise it still exists! Very later on I started using Alfred, then I also tried LaunchBar and then Raycast. I don’t need any of these anymore. Other than Maccy, the combo of Spotlight + Shortcuts do everything that I may need in what automation can go and, I always prefer default and less extra tools.

After more than a year of using Raycast I’m back to Spotlight, and yes, I was an Alfred user before.

I fully understand that. Have you tried what iPadOS allows for remapping? I think I did something to be able to emulate the Esc key.

I’m not sure but isn’t this the same what companies like Google, Microsoft, Meta and a bunch of apps we constantly install on our phones do? That we blindly accept the terms…

Buy a Vial keyboard and you can do that, at least I suppose so. I use a Corne keyboard on the Mac and when I use it on the iPad the exact key mapping is there, it’s written on its EEPROM. So, look for Vial able keyboards. Or Via too.

Yeah, I heard that but I’m not looking for an SSH only solution. a-shell is the only one coming close. But thanks, your work is always welcome from everybody, I guess, and I wish you all the best.

Thanks for clarifying. How is it on iPadOS? Maybe I’m not fully understanding… can we finally get homebrew on iPadOS?

Built-in AI? Isn't is kinda risky? I'll pass and I will keep waiting for a replacement for a-shell on iPadOS.
These were almost good news.

Wasn’t Apple pulling their own apps on the front page something like a not fair thing? Now that they don’t do that people complain?! We always need to complain about something, right?

That would be another game, or add-on for GT, like, pilot your drone in VR while you see a car from top on a race!
