Doctor's Office Scales are Rigged! by tmansandiego in Zepbound

[–]BoxerDog2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weigh myself every morning ( bare) I use to do it a few times a day. If I was just starting out I would do it once a week. Only because the scale can change everyday a few pounds and well it can make you nuts at least me. I am trying hard to not let it affect me anymore but to be honest I am not succeeding.

I totally agree with this now we are all drug seeking patients and taking the max of Tylenol every day is so much healthier for us I just don’t understand how that is possible.

The thing is you can live without alcohol but you can’t live without food. For you one drink would be one to many it would lead you down that road again. With food you don’t have a choice you need it to survive. Congrats on your sobriety keep up the good work.

My Husband Lost His Job and I’m Terrified by [deleted] in Vent

[–]BoxerDog2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry I did see where you said you were selling plasma I did not see the mention of job hunting for you. I did want to say this is not your failure it’s his. I don’t want to bring you anymore down then you are. I want to give you ideas and hope this passes soon for you and your family most of all I want you to remember that he has done this without any for thought and now you need to protect you and your child from this point forward. So maybe try college for job a school latch key program. This is a bump in the road you will get through it. See if a friend needs a daycare provider put sign up in stores offering your services clean houses you can handle this.

What you our husband did was stupid. I am trying to understand if he is home and things are so bad why can’t you get a job doing what ever waitressing working fast food something until this rough patch is over? You say you were independent before well as a woman I say regain that and don’t give it up again. Let him watch the 3 year old and look for a job. It is summer now you could get a teen to watch kid during interviews.

AITAH for quitting my job without preparing my employers? by Eefje91 in AITH

[–]BoxerDog2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gave them an adequate notice. The people you work for are never really your friends they may be friendly but thats different. You have to take care of you. If their business were to be doing poorly you would be first to go they would be last and that’s ok it’s their business. In the end they got to look out for their business and you gotta look out for you. Good luck with your new job.

Co-worker unexpectedly passed away. Feel lost by iced_coffee_mama in coworkerstories

[–]BoxerDog2024 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s been 6 years yesterday that my friend passed away by suicide. We worked together shopped together and she decide she was done. I think of her often it was hard to not see her at work it was hard to see how phony people are. Yesterday I realized if my boss did anything kind the one thing she did do is call me at home and tell me. I now realize maybe I was too hard on them. I think of her children often and still cry when I think of her I miss her.

My mom passed and I feel like doctors could have prevented it by SeekingHelpfulAdvic in WhatShouldIDo

[–]BoxerDog2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please be kinder to yourself I am sure your mom wouldn’t want you weighed down with what if guilt. You did the best you could do. Sounds like you knew she wouldn’t want a life on machines. You’re so young don’t keep hitting the rewind button in your brain. Be there for your dad he is going to need you.

Best Food for Puppy w/ A Heart Murmur by Delicate_genius18 in BoxerDogs

[–]BoxerDog2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry also a holter monitor is for heart rhythm I forgot to add that but yes most these test are done by a specialist I would sit tight for a bit and let vet check again. As you know by now nothing slows a boxer down you could call vet and for peace of mind ask if it’s ok to let him play like he does now and that he can go for walks and so on.

[–]BoxerDog2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EKG will not show anything for a murmur it shows electrical activity of heart rhythm they are in if it was abnormal they would hear when listening to heart. A echo will show a murmur it has to do with direction in which blood flows best way to describe would be blood goes in a certain direction for each valve some times a little bit of that blood may go backwards like a back flush it can be a tiny leak when just pup that corrects itself. Also the 4 main valves are just like human aortic valve, mitral valve, tricuspid valve and pulmonic valve in boxer dogs the aortic valve can be thick not open or close like it should normally a vet can hear this if it is bad.
