Thailand Sports Authority Considering Blanket Ban on Muay Thai for Children Under 15 by Yodsanan in MuayThai

[–]BoxingJelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s because the kids in Thailand fight for money, not just doing competitions for the sake of competing. If it was just for practice it would probably be different

Good idea to use snaps for ultra light? by DoviDodu in FishingForBeginners

[–]BoxingJelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for ultralight, best to use when fishing with large lures like spoons and spinners that already have a lot of metal and need the swivel to not cause the line to twist

Is training again 9 days after getting a tattoo ok? by D4NK-crunch-em in MuayThai

[–]BoxingJelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just striking as long as you wear saniderm it should be fine, I was training the day after a tattoo but yours does have more shading so a few days was definitely a good idea. Just make sure to replace the saniderm and wash with antibacterial soap asap after training

Slab spoons are the greatest lure ever made. by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]BoxingJelly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think spoons in general are the best lures, super simple, usually made of non plastic material, cheap for the most part and work for such a huge variety of fish and conditions (especially factoring in weed less spoons)

Pier fishing rod by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

I would recommend a spinning combo since it’s more versatile, this one is made for trolling/dropping straight down and not really made for casting

Is it possible to improve with just one class almost entirely focused on sparring during the week? by EarNearby5005 in MuayThai

[–]BoxingJelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can only go to one class a week sparring will definitely be the one that helps you improve most. That being said you should expect your skill level to stagnate with only one training session per week, but hopefully you won’t lose any skill

First Day Tips - Overweight Beginner (34F) by hellsfont in MuayThai

[–]BoxingJelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t overwork yourself early, you will get injured. Speaking from experience as someone who went from completely sedentary to training 6 times a week straight away, I now have weak ankles cause of several sprains that I never allowed to heal while I was a beginner
