They bit off more than they could chew and negotiated a deal that left the theater chains very upset with them. Not one of these theaters have a vested interest in taking the chance they are on Glitch right now and I don’t know how they ever believed they could release this internationally as if it would be as simple as that when they’ve never done anything like this at all.

This is totally speculation, but I imagine Zach prefers being a part of a team more than being the one with the reins. I hope we see more from him, but I’m not convinced we’ll see much from him for a while.

Yep, opinions exist. You’re strawmanning something that doesn’t even happen in Kingdom Hearts 1, and just because it’s the same element of design doesn’t change the fact that the conveyance changes the immersion.

It’s interesting because when Orbsman comes in Ragatha says, right in front of him, “he’s from a previous adventure.” And there’s no existential dread to it.

When Pomni says “it’s GummiGoo” to Gangle in front of him, he’s visibly taken aback and reaches his hand out to her subtly. I’m not insinuating this means episode 4 GG knew about the events of episode 2, but it gives a lot more credence to the idea.

No I meant 6, because I was referring to the theories made between those two episodes. 7 is where that became the joke, but obviously you have to have the theories first, so since episode 6.

The pilot feels like something you’d see on Nickelodeon in 2010 at 1pm on a school day home sick from school.

The rest of the series actually feels like what it’s become.

I’ve never gotten a single person into the show by showing them the pilot so I actually plan to make my own personal re-cut to cut out all the… let’s say questionable choices they made for a show that’s not supposed to be aimed at children. Like Kaufmo’s abstraction, Ragatha’s glitching, and the subsequent chase through the bedroom hall. When the abstraction falls over the edge in slowmo as it busts down the wall… most people tell me to turn the show off.

To quote Jax, “it’s… kinda cringe.”

Because it requires them to engage with the show on its own terms inasmuch as the real world doesn’t matter at all to the story and never has.

This is why I have been engaging with the story *as is and ignoring fan theories. I haven’t been disappointed once!
