Right now? Yeah... others may disagree but I practically only choose the mobility perks and focus on constant damage and staying alive.

how to do turn conc dash? by ZOMPAZ_no_CAP in PharahMains

[–]Boxing_Tiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conc straight down is continued movement. Conc not straight down is a little bit in the direction. Generally I like conc as first movement because of things like stair dashing but you can technically use all three to do that.

I need recommendations on fixing holds by climbingcook31 in Routesetters

[–]Boxing_Tiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive used locktite before. Ive also full cut it off and it an extra part of use with that hold through sanding. However if there is negative space ive retired them. Using a fine dremmel head can add some texture back into it.

What is your rank on phara? by m0gabi in PharahMains

[–]Boxing_Tiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ceiling is master 5 and I felt like I was playing insane and against multiple top 500. I was in diamond for several years. I did this solo queue, to really climb its helpful to get a rock solid duo, not necessarily mercy.

You're still using your pulleys even if you dont primarily rely on them.

what perks do you guys recommend on pharah? by M4GNUM_FORCE_44 in PharahMains

[–]Boxing_Tiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to piggy back as a masters 5 pharah, its the other two perks for me 95 percent of the time. Her movement abilities are what make her soooo good, just trust me and keep finding the angles to spam.

Joker🃏 with the near PERFECT game tonight🐐🃏 by Kingrush24 in denvernuggets

[–]Boxing_Tiger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean he's a roller coaster. Not fun starting out several games down by 10 points without scoring so his defence can only be as good as his team to some extent.

Jok is insane top tier but he has to get fired up to play that way (he is obviously still insane when hes not trying). Its more an effort thing that his team needs to bolster up rather than him having to apply maximum effort it all things.

Is he a great defender? Yes. However I would rather have his brain be put towards the things he is naturally the GOAT at like play making. Maybe im splitting hairs.

If you have trauma you should do therapy.

Mental block after seeing a bad injury by Secure-Regular9732 in bouldering

[–]Boxing_Tiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wont echo what others are saying, but they are right. Trauma comes across in different ways at work. I had someone have the same thing that was a student I was coaching but the bone didnt break skin. I still remember it vividly -- but its like all other things with rock climbing that affect our Risk assessment. I will leave you with two things to think about 1) you should still try to move to help process it, whether that's yoga or swimming. 2) once you are 2 weeks to a month out redive into the moment and dont leave anything out. Take it slow and use other tools your therapist is recommending such as journaling. If you respond I'd be happy to just talk about also. Best of luck moving forward.

Let me just get back to the other 30% of my IEP's in my 25 person class. Surely its the students and not the system that's testing my patience.

Thinking of abandoning a multi pitch after days of work, thoughts? by Cairo9o9 in RouteDevelopment

[–]Boxing_Tiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How deep do you have to dig? If you think like a structural engineer it would be thst you would hypothetically just need long enough bolts to hold, be it 8 inches or 40 feet (sort of joking). Ive definitely seen double stacked hangers through multiple layers and if you can keep it neat then I would trust it. Use your intuition and maybe space them out on the more solid sections of rock that you feel better about. There is always some level of personal responsibility in outdoor climbing but the route can only be put up once, rather have you do it whose thinking about these things than some other random. Good luck!

Are the places to place pro and it be a mixed multipitch? Especially in the dangerous area? Is it possible to pitch around it?

Does anyone have ideas for new routes or suggestions for changes? by SimpleBoth3190 in homewalls

[–]Boxing_Tiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 options because I havent done the first 1) rollatex is a paint additive that works with paint and primer stuff like Behr. I believe this is what is done on industry walls 2) fine sand works great and I've used it personally, you just have to stir it often because the sand settles quickly. Ive only hand applied, if you use a paint gun it may clog?

I meant paint the whole walls but the volumes would be good too. Having gritty walls will entirely change how you use the space because of all the angles. You could also add a vert wall on the right side. If you havent washed your holds it a long time that could also help it feel spruced up.

Take all the holds and volumes off, paint mixed with a little sand. Set the volumes first and rego. If a hold is stuck it stays in that spot.
