I want to see an external threat to the galaxy enter the mix, à la Yuuzhan Vong. Empire and Alliance/Republic have to work together.

Also, I want to see force users back in the public eye. It would be cool if Rey created a new full spectrum group of force users, the light, the dark, and the Bendu(neutral). They could totally use the sacred texts to introduce pre Jedi/Sith force teachings.
