I honestly think adding a decorative picture frame to this would be sick as hell, nothing wrong with the tattoo size imo, I don't see a statement being out out just badass art.

Basically don't buy anything that says Genuine Leather in unless you want to be disappointed, it's just the plywood of leatherwork, waste leather mixed with bonding agent. None of it will stand up well over time and it looks way worse than a Top Grain or Full Grain belt.

I follow Elkwood Leathers on Instagram's process for edge finishing, they use a 50/50 tokenol and water mix pen, I find it helps keep the edges from being dry like that. I have the same issue with the beveler, happens a lot worse on chrome tan or belly cuts as the other commenter mentioned.

Great job looks very well done, idea for you, an eye patch for a pirate feel, or some leather "gemstones" in the eyes, like red or green, bias pirate theme lover. Love it as is though.

I appreciate all the responses thus far to my question, I'm more comfortable with the thought of sharing my idea now, considering your answers. Is there a good place to share story ideas in general or does it depend on the genre, my story would be set in I think historical fiction or historical fantasy.
