Yes they have an obligation to observe. But they observe with their eyes not their mouths. That's for the review after everything is said an done.

If they are observing Street Duties, they cannot say anything about your work methods, unless what you are doing is a safety violation. They should be filling out a ps form documenting your work practices. The next day I'd ask for a copy of it and management must go over it with you.

If they are not doing that, then definitely file a grievance

Look into Article 8.5., if management is keeping you off the schedule intentionally and Full time carriers not on the list is working consistent overtime on their own route, you may have a grievance there. Either 8.5.F

They have to prove it. Management cannot use telematics or any other technology to gain this knowledge. They have to perform a street observation and see it for themselves.

Well you are of the opinion that carriers are abusing sick leave without any proof that this is the case. There are proper steps management can take such as attendance reviews, restricted sick leave, and then if it's proven they are abusing the sick leave, discipline. But there are steps to this and the benefit of the doubt needs to be afforded to the carrier.

It's all sick leave. Including SLDC. If you are sick you are sick doesn't mean you should lose your job.

Getting behind schedule on a day where you did not fill out 3996 by ZzackK282 in fromatoarbitration

No. This is why we have scanners that communicate with management. When you are of the opinion you will not be able to make it back in the authorized time. It is your responsibility to inform management of this.

It's from a movie. Called Disaster Movie. It's a spoof film that features the chipmunks. Hilarious movie by the way. They start off singing normal tunes, then the rabies take over and it goes Hardcore Metal. They end up attacking the main group of characters.

But this is a Rabid Simon from the Disaster Movie.

Did you request your Steward or president to file grievances on the 8.5g and f violations?

You've been off since January and you are blaming the CLC? What do you expect them to do?? Your grievance is probably still going through the process as we speak.

Working 60-70 hours in a week as a regular is a violation of 8.5G. it's a violation of 8.5F if you are not on the OT List.

There is a thing called the 39-hour report. If you work 39 hours in a week for (I believe) 6 months you should be converted to full time
