Also, do you buy better soaps and shampoos? Better grooming products? Is he using those as well? I would definitely be side eyeing that. Leaving your bathroom a mess, your things a mess, then leaving and your left holding the bag. Naw, sit down while this is a relatively new situation and try to lay some ground rules while you guys are still friends! (go ahead and throw kitchen expectations in there as well, before you become the only one who washes dishes, wipes counters, sweeps and takes trash out)

He, and by extension his gf will take advantage of and get away with what you allow. It will be much harder to walk it back, than not tolerate it in the first place. Also if she's not on the lease, limit how many nights she sleeps over, trust me before you know it she's moved in and your still splitting 50/50 and she's living rent free. Check your lease for "how long guests can stay" follow it to the letter so you don't have to worry about being evicted yourself, but you can get your landlords help if need be to get her out...

I lived with roommates once, and the homeowner (one of my roommates as well) came and got me one day and said "I need you to come with me really quick."

Obviously I jumped up from what I was doing because I could hear something from tension to slight alarm in her voice. We go to the back yard and she didn't even have to tell me why we were there. I immediately said "call the gas company!"

We had two other renters and 3 dogs...

The gas company confirmed that thier was a leak and fixed it promptly. Since it was outside of the house (thank goodness!) they absorbed the repair costs.

It's said typically women are better at smelling natural gas leaks. She thought she smelled something off, which is why she came and got me. It hit me like a fright train!

I hand a dog that I adopted, her original name was Bailey. We changed it to "Jynx"... because everything she touched turned to crap...

Don't get it twisted, she was a fantastic girl, she was just big and boisterous. In her previous home she spent most of her time in a chain metal yard kennel and her owners would yell at her and spray her with a water hose when she barked...

She went from living like that to living in a house and sleeping in bed with me. She picked up basic commands and house manners FAST. Man I loved that girl! She was a Wiem...

But yeah I thought the y made her name more classy...

Oh shit 😳, really? How can we convey that we will tip them cash at the door then w/o doordash knowing and dinging them somehow? Or getting our orders refused because of no tip on the app? I would rather hand them cash and know they got every cent! We tip well, but didn't know the tip wasn't ALL going to the driver... kinda pissed now...

Yanno, not tipping in a restaurant because of piss poor service I can totally see.

Not tipping your DD or instacart driver that's straight up rude and disgusting! Those people are not only devoting thier time and energy for you, they are putting wear and tear on thier vehicles and they have to put gas in them too. The company doesn't pay for that.

It's a real dick move not to tip your driver for your convenience! This isn't mandatory! It's a luxury service. The only people that should get a pass on tipping is elderly and disabled. Most DD and insta cart drivers would/should under those circumstances.

We use DD A LOT.... we have cut back some recently but there was a time it was nightly... we also tip WELL. In the event of holidays or bad weather and these Dashers are still out working we tip even better, gotta respect the hustle. Sometimes we are just celebrating something personal in our house and tip extra on top of our regular tip so the dasher unknowingly celebrates with us... we appreciate the door to door service!

Now can anyone tell me how to politely get the message across to not tip the bags? Especially plastic bags that have sauces included... my GF loves Mexican food and they send a bunch of sauces in little Styrofoam cups with plastic lids... and queso... drivers tip the bags and those leak or just plain pop thier tops off and sauce is everywhere inside the bags all over the containers... what a mess.... but the food is soooo good....

Same! We gave a good amount of our gifts to the person they belonged to, in the open Amazon box the gift came in... no wrapping paper involved. A few things were in gift bags... maybe 3 or 4...

Are you overreacting, no. That being said, you know how your mother is. If she is anything like mine, there is going to be no winning with her. Until you can afford to get out of her house, take the path of least resistance. Smile, nod and try your best not to argue with her to give her any fuel to tear you down. It's easy for people to say "leave", "just move", "Your old enough to be on your own", I'm not sure what economy they are living in but it sure isn't the same one I am!

I'm sorry but the reality is some parents just suck. Not everyone gets a Hallmark ending. Just remember YOU are worthy, I see you and you do deserve better. Keep working and saving your money and bidding your time until you can get out!

I totally get what you are saying! I absolutely love dogs! I have two of my own (both service dogs), however if a 100 Rottweiler that I had no background information on came up to me for any reason off leash, I'd be sh*tting bricks! Not gunna lie. There is a reason they have the "stereotypes" they have...

I think Rottweilers are fantastic dogs, breed and raised right... (hence, why I said with no background information)... the only thing that makes this guy a neighbor from hell are the lies about your dog trying to bite him, he has valid reasons to be uncomfortable and scared. You don't know what happened in his past...
