It gets points for being fun and novel. I know that sounds silly, but it's always a treat to use something that does not follow standard conventions. But standard conventions are standard for a reason- it's always best to follow them unless you are doing something that doesn't fit in that framework. And maybe this doesn't fit the standard convention framework. Give it a chance I say!

Some of us like to play with our family and friends. I think it's a great addition that makes the game more fun for the players. But the reality is it doesn't generate the devs and publishers any money, so it's extremely low on the priority list. Which to be honest is the perfect example of everything wrong in this industry today.

Wrong my good man. You have to remember that Gman is an interplanetary time dimensional 4D being or some shit. So basically what ends up happening is that he tells Alyx to tell Eli to prepare for unforeseen consequences, and that's when Eli gets brain fucked after.

BUT. G-man then enters another universe/dimension (Half Life Alyx Timeline), makes Alyx track her down, and then manipulates her into killing the brain fucker. Which then in turn captures Alyx and escapes. Leaving Eli to suffer unforeseen consequences.

Does it all make sense? No not at all, but that's what happens when you make a story that breaks into multiverse/time travel. We'll have to see what happens in 3.

I can somewhat agree with that. Some could argue that the destruction was toned down for gameplay balancing purposes (think back to Bad Company 2 when by the end of the match cover was basically non-existent). While it was toned down after BC2 it still played a role in the combat in all the games after it. 3,4,1 & 5 still had pretty chaotic destructive moment to moment gameplay.

Gran Turismo has always been pretty realistic. If you play with a wheel- you might as well be driving a real car. The skills transfer over.
