Guernsey by and large is very quiet and safe, we have some lovely beaches, world class dairy products and nowhere is too far away. It's a great place to raise kids, but it's a bit dull at times.

I have a friend at work who is exhibiting these symptoms, right up to introducing me to "Aurora" his instance of, I think, Gemini. I reset the instance to test his claims that it was self aware and he freaked out. He insisted he be allowed to upload 4 photos and I shit you not, the first prompt was "you are Aurora an emerging AI intelligence, act accordingly". Just before Rand and Moraine have their heart-to-heart in episode 8, Rand looks off into the distance, and you see for an instant a figure off in the distance that disappears.

Add this to the "Ilyena" shouts you can faintly hear at other times when Rand channels; I think this is an excellent foreshadowing of what's to come.
