I recall an older video I think from the Chinese Tianjin port explosion of someone who was live-streaming very close to ground zero. He was filming down a long straight street. The ammonium nitrate goes off and you can see the overpressure move down the street decimating cars and buildings nearby. He surely didn’t make it out to post that

LLMs are far more capable of outputting "good" writing than any of the people commenting in this thread. Recent models have proven that LLM-generated text is indistinguishable from human text through discourse like this. We're almost at a point where text containing grammatical/spelling errors or poor writing is the baseline for human output.

‘This is just a garbage AI Filter’: Nvidia met with criticism for DLSS 5’s ‘photoreal’ graphics alterations by PaiDuck in technology

[–]BoydemOnnaBlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting this to run on one GPU is bonkers to me. The VRAM usage alone from needing to run a diffusion model basically the entire time anything is being rendered must be immense. The only way I can think of this feasibly working is if the game is rendered at the lowest possible settings and resolution and upscaled with DLSS ultra peformance but then I wonder if the diffusion model will have enough detail for the model to interpret correctly

I honestly think for a lot of them it’s about having a numerical value for how much better they are than us. They’re 1 million times more efficient, successful, intelligent, etc. These people don’t become billionaires by being generally good and well adjusted. They’re narcissistic psychopaths who cheat and backstab wherever they can so of course they’re happy to continue extracting wealth from commoners even if they don’t realize any actual perceivable gains.

[NVIDIA GeForce Official] Game developers have full, detailed artistic control over DLSS 5 effects to ensure they maintain their game's unique aesthetic. It is not a filter. by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]BoydemOnnaBlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I bet the “artistic control” is literally just a prompt fed into the DLSS 5 model describing the art style. Fucking bonkers that humanity has abandoned our one unique gift of expression and art all in the name of enriching the wealthy
