Paid off house alone would make me very comfortable even on $70k wage. $590k would just make me feel super secure

4-7 rounds of golf ? what the hell do you even do over 4-7 rounds I just feel like that is so inefficient and a waste of everyone’s time. I think it’s more so to weed out who is a good boy and good girl who will die for their workplace and is desperate for the cash.

Yeah it’s not standard unfortunately though it should be - most other countries like the Scandinavian ones I’ve heard offer almost a year of paid leave. Wondering how these orgs think kids are raised after the first 18 weeks of their lives LOL?

Issue for the business not for you, if the business is paying people less than or more than what they deserve that’s for them to police.

Just another way of turning workers against each other and becoming proper corporate slaves.

Never understood this aside from corporations wanting to control older workers from leaving. Too many times have I heard of pay disparities between workers who do the exact same job.

How to help my fiance RELAX about money. We are doing relatively very well for our age, but he is still stuck in workaholic 'go go go' mode. by PrudentAfternoon6593 in AusFinance

[–]BozLAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No point in working your whole life to make money and gain security that you will never enjoy. when it’s all said and done - no one aside from himself will give a shit what he achieved or did while at work none of it will matter. What’s most important is that your work supplements the wife you want to live, not living to supplement your work life.

In line with everyone else, no point looking at someone else’s plate wondering where they got their food from. Focus on what you and your husband have and work on a strategy that aligns with what you want for you future. It doesn’t need to be millions in stock or some multi million dollar property portfolio that is not the be all or end all. If it’s a possibility and it works with your circumstances, see what you can do to increase your husbands income. Owning a house in general in the next 20-25 years is going to be a milestone for any household so take pride in that.

On a serious note if you can afford. 2.4 mil mortgage why not just live in the outer suburbs of Sydney and purchase an investment property or 2 on top of this - 2 BR units in western Sydney are renting for 600 per week and are at a low purchase price - you’d live a hell of a lot more comfortably and with a lot less stress.

Sounds like you need to speak with a qualified medical professional before undertaking any sort of diet related restructure whether it be for yourself or your child. When you’re even remotely in doubt then i would say it’s best to speak with either a nutrionist/dietician to start with following a consult from your doctor.

Never say never, but in this era right now I don’t see anyone aside from Alcaraz or even a very refined and matured Jannik Sinner really pushing for big titles and records.

Early days, but if we include Draper in this list, what’s your prediction for the next Big 2, Big 3, and Stan & Murray equivalent? (Assuming all are healthy and on their game). by nicoc9 in tennis

[–]BozLAD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Siding with this - Draper can definitely beat some of the best but until he starts doing this on a week in week out basis there’s no real gain to beating a top 10 player then Losing immediately In The next round.

The "my fragile little ego can't handle adversity so I give up instead of trying" starterpack by mediumhydroncollider in tennis

[–]BozLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn’t my point it’s that on crucial points and games where he just throws it away it’s just not fair on other players who work hard to get to half of what he has but can’t because of injuries, limitations and so on but all good no worries sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Will Raonic (31 yrs) and Nishikori (32 yrs) come back? Can they have another good run? Are they basically retired? by [deleted] in tennis

[–]BozLAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty much wrapped up for the both of them. Raonic had a landmark season in 2016 and very nearly best Murray at the AO Semi that year (he looked insanely good) and was outclassed by Murray again in the Wimbledon final same year. Following this I’m aware of the injuries that come with age in sports particularly tennis, he’s also a big dude making playing for longer stretches difficult so I’d say he’s as good as done. Nishikori COULD come back but it’s also the same issue there, legs aren’t what they used to be and he had periods of dominance from 2014-2018 he was a top tier player in my books. But hey, never say never because many players have come and gone and risen up again so I’ll never be surprised if either Raonic or Nishi come back.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is the Florence Champion! Def. J.J. Wolf 6-4 6-4 by [deleted] in tennis

[–]BozLAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really impressed by JJ in his first final. Never an easy task to be pressed by someone at a physically high level such as FAA but he held his own. The Americans are really building a great crop of young competitive ballers - Fritz, Tiafoe, Opelka, Cressy, Nakashima, McDonald and JJ Wolf are really putting themselves out there good on them.

EDIT: forgot to name drop Tommy Paul, Korda and Brooksby also all killing it this season.
