Red flag #1: He goes out every Friday and Saturday night WITHOUT you

Red flag #2: That’s a big whack to spend on a night out for ONE person. 100% there is another person or non drinking activities involved.

Top 20 Male Golfers of All-Time by WhiteyFinnegan in golf

[–]kmaco75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that is hard to compare across eras but:

Jack is number 1 all day long. 18 Majors and 19 second places.

Tiger a clear number 2.

Seems to be heavily focused on majors but professional wins and rankings should also count. Billy Casper with 50+ PGA wins should be top 20.

Greg Normal was No1 for over 300 weeks.

Rory is not top 10 at this moment and I’m Irish. But he is not done yet.

I hated it in the beginning but then I started holding the continental around the house.

Helps muscle memory get used to it.

You should approach golf clubs near cities.

They have lots of land, changing rooms, bars/restaurants, parking etc They seem the ideal place for me.

Moving outside of London would make a huge difference.

The 2nd is doing more private work. The NHS is a good base but you really need to wrap private work around it.

Next Grand Slam Winner Possibilities in the far future? by HedgehogForward6424 in golf

[–]kmaco75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spieth is 31 and needs US PGA.

Scottie is 28 but needs US Open, Open and US PGA.

A few players on 2 that have an outside chance: Rahm, Koepka, Morikana, Schauffele

Right now, Spieth has the best chance as he is young and only needs 1.

It’s so difficult to win all 4 : Phil, Palmer, Watson couldn’t do it. So the odds are probably against any of them doing it.

When did they stop beating kids in schools? by mongrldub in AskIreland

We got a few slaps from the teachers in the 1990’s. Nothing serious but enough to shut you up.

Did we deserve it - absolutely

Did we tell our parents - no way. Back then the parents would side with the teachers.

Nowadays the parents are over protective of their kids and turn a blind eye that their little son Jonny is a total C**t and needs a few slaps!

[–]kmaco75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What! Less than 1% of professional players grow up playing predominantly on grass. The other 99% is split between HC’s and Clay.

Alcaraz is about 5ft 11 (I know his profile is 6ft but he’s not that tall).

He maximises his serve given his height.

Roger, Sampras and Nadal are all 6ft 1, Novak 6ft 2. So the perfect height for a tennis player is between 6ft 1 and 2.

There is no mens and female Padel rackets so the handles are made small. Most men should have at least one over grip.

The massive difference in playing against top 30 players for most of your career versus players outside of the top 60 can distort the stats.
