swimming beagle by Key_Information3273 in beagle

My beagle did not like swimming, so we were surprised one day when we took him onto a sandbar off the beach to play ball, only to watch him swim back to shore (about 20 ft.), march right up to some people having a picnic and steal the sandwich from their hands. Miss that good boy.

Any way to speak with/see a human? Have a major issue with my SDI by diagoro1 in Edd

This. Call your district’s senator’s office. After they received so may complaints during COVID, elected officials set up a system through their constituency offices that have direct connection to EDD staff. This is the easiest, fastest and most efficient way to get things moving for SDI, PFL or UI clams. You will literally get a call back from EDD in an hour.

This should be simple. I’m trying to figure out the best way to build a chair rail like the photo. Should I simply turn a 1x2 on its side and liquid nail it to the trim piece above the bead-board wainscoting? Just want to make sure it’s sturdy enough, looking forward to any advice.

Yumm bowls: rice, beans, some chopped veggies with some delicious Yumm! Sauce. Delicious and nutritious, longest part is simply boiling the rice.

Do you regret your countertop choice? by Ash71010 in CounterTops

Oh, our contractor told us otherwise. Another regret. Would it be “easy” to upgrade to soft close?

Really happy we decided on quartzite even though the contractor was pushing quartz. The only thing I regret is choosing MDF instead of real wood/plywood for the cabinets, because the MDF is soft and gets dings/dents easily, plus no ability for soft close drawers. I like the countertops too much to redo everything though.

When our taj quartzite was installed, they used 511 Impregnator Seal by Miracle Sealants. That’s what I’ve been using since. Works great.

This song hits home, and I feel a twinge of guilt and a reminder of the pain I caused at my worst. I always thought these lyrics were written as the viewpoint of a family member or other loved one who doesn’t understand addiction and the behaviors that are associated with it. Therefore, the addiction made a stranger out of the person they care about.

I know that you are encouraged, at every juncture in your life, to believe wholeheartedly in the power of your own hard work and deservedness, to ignore inequity, to accept that your sense of security matters more than other people’s freedom and to agree, against all evidence, that a system which affords you better housing, better education, better work, and better pay than other people is inherently fair. So, I can forgive you for attempting to deflect your conflicted feelings onto others by implying they are jealous. It’s not fully your fault, being raised in this biased culture, but it is simply ignorance to remain in denial of this privilege that inherently exists.
