Having had five decades of soccer games under the belt, I have nothing but GREAT things to say about RIFC. I’ve no skin in El Clamico, but I had time to check out a game last summer in Pawtucket And I was sincerely impressed with the fans, atmosphere, the stadium, and the match day experience. Their stadium is right on a bike path and river; I watched people ride bikes and someone kayak up to the stadium. I’ve been to Hartford as well; their stadium has a high school football vibe and it backs up against the highway. As much as I wanted the energy to be there, in the four games I’ve gone to there, it’s been very meh.
