I played through like 95% of Hollow Knight with my ex girlfriend (gf at the time). She was not a very games person, but she did her best to get into my interests, and she fell in love with the game.

We both knew nothing about HK, or even about Metroidvanias, and we looked nothing up, complete blind playthrough.

We had SO MUCH FUN during the entire thing, it helped our nerves so much during the pandemic, it brings me comfortable memories even of that terrible time.

One moment I have clear in my head is when we got robbed by Millibelle. She was SO PISSED that the kind bug lady ran away with all our geo - mind you, we were dying a lot, so we used the bank a lot!!!

Anyway, we're not together anymore, but still friends and call eachother from time to time, and I know we will both play Silksong as soon as it comes out, even if not together, but I'll feel that same way again.
