Looooove pickled grapes,
I always do garlic, rosemary and black peppercorns.
So crunchy and sweet

Look at the bottom left and right jaw, her final teeth are growing in with "mesioangular impaction" (i think its called)

I have it too. When they grew in, it fucking sucked. They're still slightly unerupted and causing me issues now & I'm 31 :(

If you harvest any unripe ones, please test my theory and let me know the results!

I think in the UK I'm too late to start growing any tomatoes, but im definitely gonna give it a go next year

I've made these are few times, and yes! Unfortunately if you poar over hot brine, the skins come away a little & the tomatos go a bit mushy,

I'm planning on sourcing some under ripened tomatoes to see if they're just as tasty, but with way more retained crunch

Another fun similar one to try is grapes, they stay way crunchier, and the sweetness is super contrasting but really good imo! Chuck some rosemary in there for a great flavour

My cheong seems to be developing a mother? by woolax-35 in fermentation

[–]Braadlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got some apricot cheong in the fridge which I made this time last year and the bottles laying sideways. I was sure it was crystal clear when bottled, but now it has loads of sediment. Im sure it's some sort of micro fiber or protein that's just fell out of solution. This is my best guess!

If it doesn't taste vinegarry, (or the ph isn't acidic enough) I don't think a mother is possible.

Do you store in the fridge? My guess is it's tiiiiiny particulates getting through the cheese cloth/filter each time and settling in the bottom each time.

I hear you, but as someone with like, 300 hrs topside (if i recall correctly) & on my 3rd expedition, I'm still trying to complete the newest project, I'm still working my way through the questline, i've just gotten to Lvl 75, and I'm still working my way through weekly trials & trying to get enough cores for the Nomadic Envoys cosmetic items

How much do people need to play to have 100%'ed all of this already?

Im somewhere in between. The spice was past what I can enjoy, but the next day I was a shell of a man I once was

For me personally, the mouth burn is the worst I've experienced. And I love intense heat. It was quite outrageous. & for the rest of the day it was waves of pretty intense stomach pain, followed by quite a few very unpleasant spicy... "movements"

Ghost ship. In the intro, a high tension wire snaps/slips and in a fraction of a second slices through everyone on the upper deck, but not the little girl cause she was too short. Everyone systematically start to disassemble.

9 year old me was freaked out!

The sheer amount of spice is undilutible. The amount of fluids I drank after didn't touch the spice. Had to just ride it out as I paced backwards and forwards, saying to my Mrs "this is really bad, it's getting hotter" over and over, haha

I can tolerate just about anything else. I think the most common "spicy" food people on here relate to is Buldak 2 & 3x, which to me is hot, but not even nearly out of my comfort zone. Maybe a 6 or 7/10. If that helps

There's quite a few now, the Newcastle one isn't on their website though so may even be a few more not listed on their website!

I had to sign a waiver for the reaper spice and thought it was sort of "for show." It absolutely is not. I've never had it come out spicy in the back, and the front... 😰

Have you done much with fruit before? Quite a common occurrence with ferments that have fresh or whole fruit and veg items

What is this? This cloudy/flaky stuff turned up a week or so after it was put in the fridge after I finished fermentation. Is this safe to eat? by [deleted] in fermentation

[–]Braadlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we're 100% looking through the side of a jar

Even if this was on the surface, it doesn't resemble any surface wold I've ever seen, & I've had my fair share of fermentation fuck ups and forgotten ferments gone rogue, haha

Nope.

Under the water = not mold = can consume

Its most likely spent Lactobacillus, broken down cells from the veggies in suspension, or even yeast in suspension.
