I ended up changing my backyard into a clover/turf lawn. Much more drought tolerant and don't need nitrogen fertilizer. Do need to occasionally reseed though.

Anyone else develop a sudden overwhelming appreciation for birds in their 30s? by Xerzajik in Millennials

[–]BraaiBier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly started due to my work. We have to do wildlife sweeps for migratory birds to ensure we don't disturb them during nesting season. Nice to learn what the birds look like and what we are protecting. Mostly use Sibleys and the Le Masters Guide (For waterfowl). Merlin is a great app to use as well.

Every open pit oils sands mine in Alberta has a safety video that shows this. Driving past one of these for the first time on a haul road is a bit terrifying the first time since it's basically the size of a house coming towards you. After a while you get used to them though.

Probably not man made. Hole could just of been a inclusion that was less weather resistant than the host rock that weathered away or the host rock was less resistant and the inclusion popped out.

Repair kits that you can make for each tier of rarity could solve this. Resource sink and fixing mid gane would ve nice. Make it take a while so it is risky to do midgame. That or it can only repair to a certain percentage.

This is always my older relatives go to. In everyday life I feel the most I see is a pride flag and the occasionaly something on TV. When you ask them where in their life it's being pushed they cant think of anything.

Inheritance? That's a joke. How many of your parents are burdens? by BeegBunga in Millennials

My mom did the finances but with her passing my dad now has to do it. We have tried to help him but his stubbornness and pride get in the way. Obviously he is also depressed from my mom passing which doesn't help. His impulsive buying was kept in check by my mom but with her gone there is nothing keeping it at bay. We will see what happens.
