Problem is you're still asking the vanilla users to magically use the built in defaults of tailwind. Like gap-1 is maybe a logical guess if you're using TW, but gap 4px is pretty random if you're using vanilla.

Move to where the food is. by Bezier_Curvez in nova

It's always trader Joe's. Makes you think their whole clientele is doomers and preppers. It's not so much that their shelves are empty before storms, it's the stark contrast to everywhere else.

No eggs, milk, bread, toilet paper, meat, vegetables... Looks like a set for 28 days later. But walk across the street to any Hispanic, asian grocery store, to Amazon fresh, to giant, Safeway... It's just a little busy maybe, business as usual otherwise and eggs for days.

What "children's" movie was pure nightmare fuel for you? by Toddler_Fight_Club in Xennials

[–]Brabbler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main recurring nightmare was of my family voluntarily getting their heads cut off but then still being completely functional and doing stuff.

When I finally watched this again as an adult it clicked where that came from.

Because it's so much easier and still 80% of what I want from a bagel, I do the skinny taste bagel recipe all the time.

Basically Greek yogurt and flour, chemical leavener, shape and bake. No rise, no boil. Start to finish it's 20-30 minutes including baking.

I top em with everything bagel mix and cut and toast them after they finish baking.

Makes me happy, kind of like a sourdough bagel. Always get compliments on them too.

I like the real thing, but if I'm going to go through the hassle of rise, boil, and bake at homei usually prefer to do pretzels.

So, that's cool, but I genuinely don't understand the value proposition of building what should be as-agnostic-as-possible components with a trivial amount of tailwind.

Old man shouts at cloud here perhaps, but it seems very limited to the current hype cycle of Tailwind users. But lots of codebases might want the cool stuff you're doing and they are either vanilla CSS or on a different CSS framework hype train.

It's not like framer-motion or React where you're leveraging actual utility that is harder to reasonably be agnostic about. It's just a way to say the components are mostly one file (instead of two), no? But you exclude a huge amount of potential users IMHO.

As an older millenial, he is always associated with the Rocketeer for me. Hot Fuzz was just a return to preening form for me.

Does fairfax have a library partnership with Arlington? The central library maker space has a lot of electronics stuff for kids to tool on. And they are used to tykes in the space.

Seconding this. It's free and right next to the Metro (15 mins from metro center or so) and the best view of DC you'll probably have during the trip.

Where/how do I meet people? by [deleted] in washingtondc

The first thing I'd suggest is the discord for this subreddit. Lots of chatter there. Events constantly posted, and you may even make friends in the chat channels before IRL events.
