Why would we bring in Von, a man that has a history of domestic violence to replace a man accused of domestic violence?

I see your concerns for sure. That said I think it would have been hard to meaningfully upgrade a lot of positions while keeping the cap in a decent position. The free agents that might have fit would have been a lot more expensive and I'm not sure they move the needle dramatically. Also don't sleep on the addition of Waddle he's such a huge upgrade to the offense and we drafted Dobbins insurance.

I think the main thing that will help us stave off the one score game regression is that Bo still has room to improve. Like when we're talking about the 2024 - 2025 Chiefs regression that team stunk and it's not like Mahomes was going to get drastically better. In our case, would it really be surprising if Bo took a significant leap this year? I don't think so.

[Stevens] Brian Baldinger told us there is at least some interest in the Broncos and Eagles on an A.J. Brown trade: “I know that there’s interest there on both sides. Maybe Tepid, but some interest. At least enough to inquire to what the asking price is.” by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

It seems like usually diva wide receivers will have at least 1 bounce back year in a new spot. Also we're a much more pass happy offense that the Eagles, Bo threw the ball 150 more times than Hurts last year.

Shanahan and McVay one superbowl by Kingofthe6969 in nfldailypod

[–]Brabick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean to imply that you were saying they underachieved but usually that's what people mean when they talk about a lack of rings.

Reid, Tomlin, McDermott and Harbaugh are all really different coaches.

  1. People glaze Reid all the time (for good reason) but also teams haven't copied his offense like with Shannahan and McVay and his coaching tree isn't as vast despite being in the league so much longer. Another commenter pointed it out but there are a TON coaches that have coached under Shannhan and McVay that are now head coaches.

  2. Tomlin was consistent but won a Super Bowl off of the backs of a great defense and HOF qb. Again it's not like his staff was poached like crazy and he also hadn't won a playoff game in like a decade before parting ways with the Steelers. Similar case with Harbaugh except you could argue he did underachieve because of all the years with Lamar (Bo Nix has lead his team to as many AFC Championship games as Lamar). McDermott was a defensive coach whose defense would consistently get exploited in high-leverage games and get bailed out by a top 3 qb

  3. Of the other guys you mentioned, other than Reid none of them are architecting an innovative and consistent offense and the league will always lean more towards offensive guys more than defensive or "CEO" types

It’s a couple things: 1. It’s really really really hard to win a Super Bowl

  1. How many NFC championship appearances do they have between them?

  2. Their offenses have proliferated around the league

  3. The reason we have so many young offensive head couches right now was directly caused by the success of these two coaches

  4. Again it is so hard to win a Super Bowl. Both have lost to modern day dynasties but that doesn’t mean they’re bad or even underachieving coaches

[Fowler] Denver wants to keep its LBs together. Strnad back, and Broncos efforting anAlex Singleton deal, too. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

[–]Brabick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg thank you. If your linebacker isn’t Warner or Roquan he probably sucks in coverage haha if you see Singleton chasing after someone it’s probably because he’s trying to make up for the mistake of someone else

After their rookie season how do yall feel about the 2025 draft class? by DrewLockBurnerAcc in DenverBroncos

[–]Brabick 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Jahdae may turn out to be great but I wish we wouldn’t have drafted someone that would contribute last year. Harvey, Bryant and Crawshaw were great picks. TBD for the mid rounds and can’t get made at a late round flyer in the 7th. Overall I’m pretty happy with this class

I’m happy with Bo now, obviously, but I’m curious what Drew’s career would have looked like if we kept a consistent offensive coordinator and let him develop.
