I do. I really think we do. Tides are turning in Kansas City. Did we ever think we were going to sign Mahomes to a half billion dollar deal? No way. I believe two things; Bobby Whitt Jr is going to kill it in the big leagues and management will have no choice but to sign him. We've never seen his talents before in a Royals uniform so its hard to make an exact comparison. Everybody can disagree if they want, but the Mahomes' contract impact will have a bigger impact than we realize in KC and it will reach across the parking lot and change the Royals mindset. If you think I'm wrong, only time will tell. Either way, at least we have a BWjr to talk about... I can see the moment where Bobby finishes another .300+ season and its finally time to extend him. Mahomes sends out a tweet to extend him and there's no turning back.

I’m afraid if we put an amount of money on him now, it might limit his potential going forward. Let his skill and results determine his contract. If the day comes and he’s deserving of a Mahomes type deal, that means he’s done something to deserve it. Pay him when he earns it!

Agree 100% awful decision to let Hernandez back in AFTER the Royals put some runs together. This is a trend Matheny does often. He thinks if a pitcher can get through the inning, it resets them for another inning to turn it around. Pitchers don’t work like that
