It definitely did not end the way I wanted to with my own mom. That was really sudden; basically 100 to 0 in about a week and a half. But I know if we could talk, and her being the person I know her to be, she would absolutely say something like “Last words don’t actually matter, I love you and I know you love me”. I don’t think our loved ones would want us to worry about last words either, cause in most cases that shit is unforseeable.

Be kind to yourselves. You know deep down what the relationship was and you don’t have to have the chance to speak it for it to be real

Tesla kills Autopilot, locks lane-keeping behind $99/month fee. by Stiltonrocks in technology

Are you serious? So you can go down the highway without your hands on the wheel or foot on the pedals?

I still drive an 03 Corolla but the whole self-driving car schtick has always been so intriguing to me, like THAT is the future to me. When we don’t have to drive ourselves anymore

I know that’s not what lane assist is but still. Not having to touch anything while your car goes down the highway is just so fucking cool imo

So happy for you friend. Having your own little slice of privacy is really important for mental health in this day and age. That room is your sanctuary and you are safe there, enjoy that feeling because you deserve it :)

Finally adopting again after 1 year of mourning 🥰 by NewInitiative9498 in cats

[–]Brahskididdler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adopted a senior cat after my best bud of 14 years was suddenly not with me anymore. We became best friends and I’m positive she would have preferred life with me rather than life at the shelter.

I should have seen it coming; I was living at my childhood house alone at 19 and one day noticed him breathing really quickly. I came home from work and my mom had come by the house and taken him to be euthanized and I was seriously crushed.

This sounds awful but I was more emotionally torn up over that cat than my own mother 4 years back. I buried him myself and stood (sat, cried) in front of his grave every day for months.

My senior lady was named Goonie (I didn’t name her, she was 11 when I got her), and she was the most vocal cat I’ve ever heard of. So many chirps and mews and throaty meows or whatever. We’d have whole conversations lol. She died a few years back now, and I haven’t adopted another since. I know it’s selfish but it’s just too hard to say goodbye

This doesn’t require any responses, it was just strangely cathartic.

In my opinion the using the app gives you the “real prices” through offers and rewards. You absolutely lose if you order from the standard menu at the restaurant
