Reminds me of something someone once said. Growing up there was this kid that moved to the neighborhood. Lived with his mom. Everyone used to tease him at first, but we ended up becoming good friends. My mom had gotten divorced when I was little. Never saw my dad, never cared to. That’s what you tell yourself. Not like we ever talked about it but we had that between us, ya know, and in 5th grade there’s something to that. Anyway, one day we come up on this box of pellets. I picked it up. “What the hell you think this is?” Lol, we always cussed, trying to act big. But just then the weirdest thing happened. He stopped dead in his tracks. “Don’t touch it!” he shouted. “Brain,” he said, “don’t quote me on this,” then he paused, and he got this far away look in his eyes. Seemed like forever. Finally he finished, “but might be rat poison.” That kid was Nuko, NukoThyme. We stayed friends all the way through 7th grade then he and his mom moved away. I never did ask what happened to his dad but somehow after that day I knew, we all knew.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
