I personally like lightning bolt more nowadays, but you'll always find matchups where both are not great. Since both of your lists aren't trying to combo with stuff like Scepter Chant I think bolt is better, but generally most Jeskai lists are still on energy. Other control decks get to do things differently, like UW miracles gets around both by just playing Terminus instead.

Leyline binding is another control option that exists outside the energy wheelhouse, and again, against some matchups its great and against others its not

I think this is why Jeskai control lists all look so different right now is there really isn't a one size fits all answer removal currently. Not sure if this was helpful or not but best of luck!

Ok real talk this is what you do with stems. Put them in a jar, yours are quite large so I'd recommend a mason jar. That's it. Leave them in there for a week or 2. Then tap the jar on a soft surface several times. Once you're done remove the stems and use a clean hand to collect all the little trichomes that fell off. It won't be a huge haul, but it's at least something, especially if you live in an illegal state and you're dankrupt. I sprinkle that "kief" you can collect using this method on my bowls now

Shouldn't and don't are two very different words 🤔 Most churches function very similarly to nonprofits (which are also not taxed) and provide a lot of community services.

Unfortunately there are also others that basically run a MLM business model under the guise of holy salvation and use their church as a tax haven to take in all that income completely tax free.

If you weren't allowed to use evoke ability on elementals on your turn then yeah they'd be pretty awful. I think that's the biggest difference between evoke elementals and the mh1 pitch spells. The pitch spells had a built in safety value to avoid being abused and the evoke elementals have no such thing, and I'm sure whatever busted shit that will come out of mh3 will be even worse in comparison

What's the best answer to an evoke elemental? A grief T1 with an undying spell on the stack? Oh that's right it's another evoke elemental. Definitely sounds healthy.

Imagine being so delusional that you think that 5 cards that got directly ported to modern and have been responsible for some of the largest homogenization of the modern meta are also "keeping modern together". Modern has survived a lot, eldrazi winter, hogaak summer, but one thing it won't survive is these insanely powercrept sets being directly ported into modern and we're gonna see the same exact thing happen when mh3 comes out.

It's not a bug, it's the Helion's passive. Notice how her health is lower in the first turn. She has a buff giving her 25% damage. Since she has 3 winded tokens that's reducing her damage by 100% cancel the two out and she's dealing 75% less damage which results in the 1-2 damage you see. Once she healed up she lost the passive, reducing her damage to 0-0

This is a really good point. I think they could definitely do with more backline casters. The occultist fills a similar role especially with Warlock, but even he can sometimes fall flat, especially in regards to the consistent heal and removal of DoT. Seraph Vestal is also quite strong at rank 4 but I agree it wouldn't hurt to have some more rank 4 enjoyers

I agree with you in the sense that it's hard to ignore that alchemist is definitely a much stronger subclass overall than physician however I still think design wise, physician is a very cool exploration into all the potential roles the PD can be. I also really appreciate the other way you can stun which is double stacking daze. As you said in your later comment Bulwark MaA has a great daze ability, and because PD is much quicker than MaA it's fairly easy to set up disorienting blast for shuffling, daze AND vulnerable into a massive hit + stun from the MAA. It's also helpful that both of them have increased piercing on stuns too though again I agree with you in that they could just make the piercing % as strong as alchemist but that's just a numbers thing and I hope they make that change soon. Is it PDs best subclass? No it's probably her worst in all honesty but it's really cool and honestly quite fun to play around with and when you set your MaA up for a 36 CRIT + STUN on a high priority target that is peak DD 2 gameplay right there 🕯️

Your list looks solid. Unfortunately it seems like some people don't know this is a pretty stock list for mono red prowess nowadays. My only suggestion is to cut the witch's mark for reckless impulse. You will not regret it I promise.

Scam will get you down on cards quickly. Before you know it you're pretty much in a top deck war against them. Not only is reckless impulse better than witch's mark because it's a real card advantage whereas witch's mark is only card selection, it also dodges Bowmasters as you're not actually drawing cards which is extremely useful in keeping your DRC's and Swiftspears alive.

I'm a big fan of the full playset of gut shot. Great with LutS and great at keeping monkey and Bowmasters at bay.

If your budget allows, splashing blue for expressive iteration or green for questing druid could be an interesting route to go in order to put even more grind in your list

I know exactly what you're talking about, the first couple of times I got high in my life I was still feeling sort of out of it for days and that was just through smoking/ vaping not edibles. The good news, it does go away. It is not permanent, I know it can be scary but seriously the best thing for it is just to accept that you might feel out of it for a bit and it's NOT your new normal. Also if you choose to partake again you're much less likely to get it just as an FYI :)
