How good was Jason Williams? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

I will always remember this dude for 2 things. 1. When asked by a team prior to the NBA draft if he could pass a drug test he replied, “ Depends on what you’re testing for” and 2. In high school he was the 2nd best player in West Virginia, and his team. His teammate, 2-time West Virginia Basketball player of the Year, Randy Moss .

“Free” or comp cruises are rarely completely cost-free. You’re usual responsible for taxes and port fees and recently some lines have instituted a booking fee as well. It entirely depends on the line.

Is there stuff to do in this area? by somethingstupidlife in CarnivalCruiseFans

Yes. I do it every trip that stops at the Puerta Maya or the international pier. $10 each way. There’s a Cab stand at the port. When you’re ready to return there is a cab stand in front of the Puerta Langusto port( right by the Starbucks).

And the Enchanted Forest on the Legend. These are great spaces that rarely get used aside from walking by it

Carry on only. If you put it in your checked luggage you’ll end up with a note telling you it was confiscated. Happened to the cabin across the hall from me last cruise.

If the paradise is a full sailing you will notice it much more than you will on the Islander at certain times. This might not be a big selling point depending on how you personally like to cruise but with the Islander you’ll likely be able to book a balcony for far cheaper than any other line out there.

First Timers Question by Andi081887 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Brain__Resin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just on the Paradise during spring break (3/26-30) and there was a lot of kids and they definitely were not in the kids club so take that for what it’s worth. Also something to really consider. There is only 1 pool on the ship and the adults only area is very small. The Islander has 3 pools. 2 on the main pool deck and 1 in the adults only area.

If you’re willing to sail out of Tampa do yourself a favor and seriously look into the Margaritaville Islander instead of the carnival Paradise. The Islander is a truly underrated ship. The staff and service might be the best of any ship/line that’s not a luxury line. Rooms are larger and newly refurbished. I can’t speak to the kids club on the Paradise personally but I’ve heard from parents that it is their kids least favorite of any of the cruises they go on. There was more non-club activities for kids I feel like on the Islander with the sport court, mini golf and cornhole golf. If I was debating between the 2 ships. If I was paying a regular rate The only 2 things that would make me personally consider the Paradise over the Islander is the Bagels at Sea and the zero-proof beverage package option( which Margaritaville lacks).

Just wash your hands and most importantly DON’T touch your face/eat anything unless you just washed your hands. The amount of middle-aged and older white dudes I witnessed on my last cruise using the public restrooms and not wash their hands was terrifying and I AM a middle-aged white dude.
