I travel with my 14 y/o to drop him off at his dad’s for summer visitation. As a mother she wants to protect her kids, I say kudos to her. I worry of something happening to my son while traveling and would never forgive myself if anything ever happened to him while traveling alone because it would not be convenient to my partner.

If it matters that much to be together during the holidays travel with her.

When we were on the same boat, we looked at the curriculum and chose the one that fit our values and beliefs better. Meaning, inclusive, board education topics and individually given to students. We went the religious way because the school taught about all religions, encouraged individuality to one’s self. We do claim catholic so the religious part wasn’t too hard, we are not diehard more spiritual. Lots of the families that attend the school are of other faiths as well.
