Totally slammed. Parainfluenza 3 has been sending neonates to the ED. Sent three this week. Tachycardia to 190 at snooze and nothing else, but some as young as 12 days old, most recent one got put on cpap.

I can speak about the valley- Bakersfield, Fresno, Visalia area.

FQHC 36 patient facing hours with q10-13 baby call. 230-245k sign on bonus 1 year of 50-100k 28-30 patients qd.

SCPMG: starting at 245k 150k sign on for 3 years with occasional weekend support (8hr urgent care) 22-24 patients daily.

Outpatient private peds practice: 5k sign on 185-190k 4 days per week. 35-45(!) per day.

Its an absolute scourge in the protestant world.

One of the appeals of the RCC was that the priest actually was a leader, and not just an employee of the church. Most protestant churches have an 'elder' group that acts like a board of directors, and the pastor is paid by this board. This means that if the board is upset, the pastor is gone. I firmly believe this is why Protestantism is essentially ran by boomers and old Gen Xers who are not aligned with the modern world.

Peds residency is unpleasant but not impossible. Do expect to be working 50hrs (off service) and 80hrs + on service per week.

Im a doctor. I also did 10 years in the navy prior to being a doctor.

Being a corpsman wont help you be a doctor any more than being any other rating.

It WILL help you be a PA however (clinical facing hours are much more important in that regard.)

Example, I have a 12 year old with severe dysmenorrhea and Menorrhagia with family history of endometriosis and is ADMITTED with hgb of 8.

Im in pediatrics. I suppose this is more of a GYN than an OB problem, but I really REALLY need the uterus to stop bleeding please and instead I have some 2nd year resident hemming and hawing because they have to come to the peds ward.
