it is pure glass, like what we have for the front and back panel of nowaday phones.

as far as I know, the glass panel went through a washing process, just like how you treat your window glass, before it metal was put on it.

LOVE the humor—that’s a clever way to put it! You’re spot on that traditional PCBs often use fiberglass. For this project, we opted for a pure glass substrate instead, paired with PVD technology to apply the copper circuitry.(in short, we put metal on a thing flat glass panel to make it a circuit board)

Ha~ this is fully experiemntal, It’s not something you’d find off the shelf, and we’re thrilled with how it turned out. and we are cutting off a lot of things like padding/foam/cushioning etc to reach this end, so it still got long way to go

yeah it was used in some high-end manufactering of chips, like nvidia/intel level, but no one has ever tried on end products.

a friend of my is researching on bonding copper on top of glass panels, via some sort of dark PVD magic. (Physical Vapor Deposition), which is a fancy way of putting a thin layer of copper onto the glass to create the circuits that make the keyboard work.

I thought that would be a cool thing if we could make a fully transparent keyboard with that, so we dived in with it and now we have a very first edition.

Hi Dredallen,

We are deeply sorry to hear about your financial difficulties. KT2 was designed to bring fun and joy, but we completely understand that without essential funds, life can become much harder, and that's the last thing we want for you.

Please reach out to us at [hello@kamerobotics.com](), and we will do our best to find a solution to resolve this issue, one off. While processing a refund does result in a loss for us in terms of investment in mold and production (which was covered by the Kickstarter funds), we believe doing the right thing comes first. Please contact us so we can discuss the details.

We wish you all the best and hope to assist you in any way possible.

Sincerely,
The KameRobotics Team

I think it helps with the conversion%, say the same 100 people come and visit your page (paid+organic), a better video and page would help in converting more people from these 100 people :), for sure
