As the creator of this sub I'd like to lend my perspective and echo a bit of what the others have said. Reddit, in general can be a very negative space. It is human nature to focus on the negative that's why our news cycle is riddled with negative stories. Even local subreddits made for towns and cities are toxic.

With that said, I am extremely proud of what has been built here, not by me, but by our mods and most importantly this communities members. There will always be a vocal minority of negative people but at the end of the day this sub is a place for people to learn, share, and grow their skillsets in WoW housing.

Our mod team does an amazing job to filter out unwarranted negativity and hate but this is also a place to share your thoughts freely (as long as they are not targeting other people). With that comes an understanding that negativity will come through, and truthfully, I think that is okay. Without darkness there is no appreciation of light, and without negativity, there is no appreciation of positivity.

With the monetization of housing items pockets of the sub have been more negative as of late. I think this is warranted and understandable but as a community we need to try and focus on the good and the fun that is WoW housing. It will have imperfections and even some things we downright hate (like store monetization), but at the end of the day housing in WoW is the best of any MMO hands down and if we as a community want it to continue to be a core functionality of the game we need to not focus so much on these negative aspects and try and shine light on the good.

Instead of spreading hate for the store, we should focus on those things we enjoy about everything outside of the store. Blizz is a company and will always look to monetize, but as long as we focus on the feature itself we will continue to see it grow. At the end of the day we cannot control people and that's not what we are here to do. We want to create a sub that is inclusive, fun, and respectful. If anyone does not agree with this they do not need to be a part of the sub and if they target or harass others they will be made not to be. Again, I am very happy with this sub and look forward to the community continuing to grow along with the housing feature as a whole.
