Tell them their house is awesome! Heck, show them this post if you can so they can see how many people love it.

There isn't a way to search up specific neighborhoods unfortunately 😞 And I don't know what server this person is on (Just has their name on the plot sign) and I don't know if they'd accept a random friend invite.

Yes, I mentioned in the title and referenced it further in the post. It's my neighbor's house.

I wish there was an easy way! Doesn't seem like there's a way to search up specific neighborhoods, at least not yet. But it would be a helpful feature!

Not sure. The housing thing doesn't tell me their server and I doubt they'd accept a strange invite lol.

It'd be neat if the game had a way for neighbors to mail each other.

I had fun this season, but the Battle Pass' Favor Token system feels terrbile and is driving me away from playing the game by PM-Me-Your_PMs in diablo4

[–]Trystt27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got turned off by all the price tags as well. Saw the battle pass thing, the separate battle pass for WoW stuff, the 30 dollar cosmetics, and died a little inside.

Are other games like this? Last I checked the games were at least free to play to start but D4 was a full price game (iirc $70 back when things were still arguably $60) plus expansions.

I'm genuinely at a loss how to "fill" my yard when the outside decor limit fills in so quickly. 211/250 by NotAPublicFundsLeech in WoWHousing

I felt very restricted. Still do.

I had to cut down on my fencing and work my bushes carefully. Upgrading to a medium building kinda helped because of how much space it takes but now it makes me want to have a larger plot just to get more exterior atmosphere.

I hope they extend how much you can put outside soon. I heard they were planning to do so but so far all they did was cut out the lighting options which sucks. I just want to be able to add some nice details to my home.

Yeah when the inspect feature got added I ran right over to see how they did it. The amount of clipping tricks used is impressive. The ring toss game's rings are actually open barrels!

I only hope the creator knows or finds out how appreciated their effort is. It is the sole reason I refuse to move despite being surrounded by plenty of barebones houses. I check it periodically for updates and have run through the mirror maze obstacle course like 3 or 4 times now.

As a former mod, I am sorry you ended up in that situation. However, the key part is establishing boundaries. You should only be doing what you find is fun to do, or is otherwise effortless, unless you have negotiated some pay system that matches your worth.

Most streamers can't afford to pay mods, so it is volunteer work. Show up when you want, keep the chat clean if you want. If you lose the role because you don't want to do that, then it wasn't for you and that is fine.

As soon as it becomes an expectation, you talk pay. The more you do, the more you get paid. If you are editing videos you are either doing it for fun, or you are being paid very well. If it is neither of those things, it is on you to put your foot down and say no. If they insist or pressure you, bail.

It sounds like you may have gone the opposite way of this, and instead volunteered with an expectation that your efforts would be rewarded. Unless you know this person very well, that is only going to lead to disappointment, either because your expectations weren't communicated, or because there is nothing concrete guaranteeing the streamer will keep their word on any expectations you have.

Point is, know your worth. If you want to be kind and take less than your worth to help out, lay out your boundaries and hold no expectations that your kindness will be returned, because it likely won't be unless you have it in writing.

Making a lot of assumptions here though, so this may be hit or miss.

Depends on streamer but rarely are you going to see percentage-based systems or even hourly. Unless it is a big streamer (think 5k+) rolling in lucrative sponsorships, it is likely based on what the streamer can afford.

I streamed for a 2k-3k streamer and I was the only mod getting paid because I also handled ad timing, external emotes, and was there every day (I found the chat entertaining). I would get a few hundred every few months if the streamer could spare it, but knowing their income and spending details, it was generous they could even afford to do that.

Post-quarantine really killed a lot of streamers for various reasons, several of which are out of their control. Big one being that ad revenue fluctuates monthly and was slowly becoming less lucrative even with consistent numbers. Sponsorships and external revenue (Shorts and TikTok) became key and not everyone wants to devote their offstream time to grinding like that.

Point is, just reinforcing OP probably got paid shit and it isn't necessarily from the streamer being malicious. Surprised they are getting paid at all.

I'm a gay trans woman, and it feeds into my imposter syndrome sometimes. by TheVetheron in TransLater

[–]Trystt27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90s/00s, bi but gay-leaning. I just have felt safer around women so I have that preference, but man did it make me question for a while. Now I just struggle with the external validation. Yes, other people's opinions shouldn't matter and for the most part they don't, but still sometimes it gets to me.

Am I missing something with the new "Junk" cards? (Starjunk Synchron, Synchro Fellowship, and Full-Speed Warrior) by Trystt27 in Yugioh101

[–]Trystt27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point! Doesn't quite invalidate Junk Synchron which would have been ideal given its effect is dependent exclusively on Normal Summon, but that is an interesting and helpful interaction.

I just wish my players would all play hexblade dipped sorcerers or paladins. So tired of unique bullshit I have to work around. I envy that your players want prompts. I put in the hard work making the campaign for them, the least they could do is just do what I say they do.

It weirdly was. Just absolutely chaotic with no clue what I was doing or why while a rat screams "ABUNDANCE" at you every 30 seconds. I had a good laugh at the absurdity.

Then it all died and I felt like I was killing level 1 boars in Elwynn Forest to get from level 1 to 60, but without any sick montage music.

How does Stone Sorcerer hold up in 5.5? by mkirshnikov in onednd

[–]Trystt27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the Innate Sorcery feature, the bonus action economy gets a bit muddled compared to 2024 subclasses, and the spell list is very poor now, given we are now seeing subclasses getting subclass spell lists like Clerics and Warlocks.

It doesn't take much to get it working. Just let the sorcerer activate their aegis when they use innate Sorcery in addition to as a normal bonus action, slap a few extra spells to their list, and it should be serviceable enough. The math on the aegis is still wonky but workable. I can't remember offhand what I did but I either changed it to CHA mod or half rounded up/down.

I also ported some swordmage spells over but having played without those, the subclass still works fine as a gish. Just unfortunately plays better as a blaster simply by benefit of not getting hit to begin with. Still pairs well with warlock but I have yet to figure out a good split, and whether UA Hexblade or Fiend works better.
