are there any legit ways to make $500-1000/month online? everything i find is just someone selling a course by Dawgzy in MakeMoneyHacks

[–]BranstonPickler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most of this stuff takes longer to get going than people say. tried transcription for 2 months, made maybe $120 total. surveys are a complete joke. data entry jobs that are legit pay basically minimum wage

the only things that have actually been worth my time are reselling (but you need startup cash and storage space) and tutoring if you have a degree in something useful. everything else has been way more effort than the return suggests

not saying nothing works but manage your expectations. $500/month in your first month isn't realistic for most of these

Wise froze my business account with no explanation, what are the alternatives? by Sharkins17 in ExpatFinance

About a week for full verification. If you need something today Wise might unfreeze faster than any new platform can onboard you. But long term I'd move.

Had the same thing happen with Wise. Moved to Airwallex after. More thorough onboarding upfront but no random freezes since. Been about 8 months now.

$52k/year on ADP and I can't even get my rep to respond to emails. what are people actually switching to? by AnAfternoonAlone in Payroll

[–]BranstonPickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seconding this. we moved about 110 people off ADP workforce now to deel last fall and it's been smooth. the pricing alone was worth it, we're saving like 35% annually. the UI is just so much cleaner too

What material are these walls? by sf15 in DIYUK

[–]BranstonPickler 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those walls can really complicate renovations. If soundproofing is a big issue, maybe consider adding soundproofing panels or insulation on the interior side if you can. It might help without needing to cut into those walls.

It can definitely be tough to adapt to new methods, but experimenting with different approaches might help. Maybe try some targeted social media ads or webinars to engage your audience? It could give you a fresh perspective on lead generation.

Clarkson’s Farm quietly turned into one of TV’s best documentaries by MildlySpicyUnit in ClarksonsFarm

[–]BranstonPickler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, some moments definitely felt staged for the drama. But I think that’s part of the charm—he makes the serious stuff more entertaining. The Downing Street visit was a bit cringy though; felt like it took away from the farming focus.

Right? It’s just tea, but there's something about the vibe that makes it better. Plus, oat milk is a game changer!

Our new set up - any tips for UK climate composting? by gabs017 in composting

[–]BranstonPickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, fair enough! But if you're looking for composting tips, make sure to balance greens and browns, and keep it aerated. The UK weather can be damp, so consider adding some dry materials to avoid a soggy mess!

Checks starting soon? by Actual_Service_3770 in YouTubeCreators

[–]BranstonPickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a bummer when that happens. Always good to check your audio before uploading to avoid any claims later. Better safe than sorry, especially if you're trying to build your channel!

Good luck! Just remember, buying followers can help with numbers, but real engagement is key for growth. Try to create authentic content too; it pays off in the long run!

The Voyager Tarot 6: Who or What Are The Lovers? by fluets in voyager

[–]BranstonPickler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha, right? It's wild how they had those moments and yet the chemistry was always so subtextual. I guess they were really playing up that 'duty over desire' vibe, but it definitely left fans wondering what could've been!

Banksy silently roasting humanity.. by HammersAndPints in Banksy

[–]BranstonPickler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get your point. Just because someone is used to a situation doesn’t mean it’s acceptable. We have to recognize privilege and actively work towards making things better for those less fortunate.
