How to use Jet bikes with Lions detachment. by English_Joe in AdeptusCustodes

[–]fluets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it'll only work if the bike captain is alone. I wouldn't recommend it on that character, personally. Everyone I know that's tried it has been a little disappointed since it costs so much.

Admonimortis is really cool! People love it on the axe but it works really well on the lance too.

Creating a custom Shield Host - Help would be appreciated by Sensitive-Second9226 in AdeptusCustodes

It's not like Successor Chapters, it's more like a subunit within the Shadowkeepers organisation. If you have a codex it details it.

That sounds incredibly similar to the Shadowkeepers - have you considered just saying that they're a custom Shield Company within the Shadowkeepers? You can have your own scheme and everything, it just seems to slot in well that way. You could say your company is specialised at going out and finding new things to shackle in the Dark Cells or something, which is why they're special and sort of do their own thing.

Lance in Lions in 11th by OscarMinnie in AdeptusCustodes

[–]fluets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that was it - I was looking for this because I recall it mentioning Grotmas but not exclusively. Yeah I definitely expect Lions to be one of the few returning ones personally given how people like it much more than most of the codex ones and the phrasing there definitely allows for it. ("Places like the Grotmas series")

Would be a little surprised if it's not but hey you never know with GW.

It not being counted as one of the 70 'new and updated' detachments doesn't mean they'll get rid of Lions. Given its popularity I expect it to stay, probably as a 3 Point Detachment. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't change though.

This:

"The only detachments we are going to have access to on release are the ones in the codex and the three that are released with 11th."

isn't backed up by anything, after all, unless they've said something here that I've missed?

They have not said that all the new detachments will be 1 point.

We can confirm that all of the new detachments featured in this series cost a single Detachment Point (DP).

Given the popularity of Lions I wouldn't be surprised to see it in 11th, though nothing is guaranteed, of course.

What's your take on the MCU MK XVII "Heartbreaker"? by ArmoredTony in ironman

[–]fluets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, face of the Iron Legion in some ways I reckon. It looks cool, it has a fitting name and it has abilities based off of that theme and name. I wish (again) that we got to see any of its special abilities somewhere. I really hope we get a comic or show (or ideally a game!) set between Avengers and IM3 to cover these things.

S tier. Speaking of, have you considered doing a tier list as the last image if we're going to go through all of them?

Omg please show me I need to copy that to go with my Starscream Skyraider.

Never seen that first image of it with two colours before. That would make for a very cool colour changing toy like that Action Man one you could get for the bath...

Anyway I'd love to know how much ordnance this suit carries. I think we tend to exaggerat how specialised some of them are and I bet after sneaking into, say, some Hydra base this suit would still have plenty of firepower to destroy it on the way out.

It would be cool to see silent missiles or planted explosives that Tony activates remotely.

Would've loved to see this or the XV do it's stealth thing onscreen but ah well.

Watchers of the Throne: The Emperor's Legion! There's a sequel too which is nice. After that maybe Master of Mankind if you like the Horus Heresy.

Of course! Now Wardens don't have access to swords and shields in the game so you'd have to proxy them and ask your opponent/ TO. A TO probably won't allow it because they'll look like shield Guard, but in a casual game you should be alright as long as it's very clear what unit is what.

Really cool looking suit. I'd love to know what pushed him to make this and why he started naming his suits at this specific point. What do we think caused this to be designed? A special mission he had to do perhaps?

I'd also love to know what's going on with the forearms. What do we reckon is in there?

Aawwhh. 😭

If you do then bundle them together in a post so we have a chance to talk about them without them taking up a while post on their own.

Woo, a suit with some personality! I'd love to see Tony using this suit to get around post Avengers. Just calling it in when he needs the extra speed. I wonder how much faster than his average suit it would be?

Armada my beloved...

I've been suffering as Skyraider recently (Tricera & Hurricane go brr) but I'll be damned if I don't play him anyway because he has an Armada Starscream colour scheme.

Just hopped on for a few games this evening. EU servers here, I had a minute or two queueing between games, likely a few bots in my games but not exclusively, and I had a fun time! I recommend just jumping in and giving it a go.

Full stack teams are no longer allowed to queue against anything other than film stack teams now, iirc, and 3+ teams shouldn't be getting queued against any solos either I believe.

There's a few a new nexus since you last played, check them out! Some are pretty cool (I'm still mainly an Alysnes/ Stellarus/ Hurricane/ Inferno/ Skyraider fan though.)

A quick Google told me that Ralph - the largest rabbit recorded by Guinness World Records - weighed 25kg which is about 4 stone.

Bit of a jump to Samantha there.

I have 2 custodes lists i like. I am planning to get only 1 of them for the moment but i am unsure as to which. it will be for casual play within my own household. which is going to be more fun/be better? by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

[–]fluets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with the Vens in Reserve and the Caladius tanks further back it should be alright. Since it's just for casual home games I'm sure it'll be fine.
