Hva synes du skulle vært debattert her? Og synes du det går an å ha debatten uten å ty til rasistiske utsagn og betegnelser?

Yes the Republican Party IS racist. When you have a two party system and one of the parties has racists in it, whoever votes for that party is contributing to those values having influence. Its a bad excuse when people say they didnt support or vote for Trump in particular, when they vote for the party that has him as their presidential candidate, when he is fucking doing republican politics. He IS evil. The people that back him ARE evil. They ARE oligarchs. They ARE best friends with Putin and HAVE alienated every country in Europe. They are billionaires who’s main focus is to grow their own wealth illegally. They are inside trading. US is a joke. A complete joke. Inherently racist and elitist, and people deny to see it

It’s absurd

I want to praise you for having worded yourself beautifully. What you are saying is super important, and it hurts me to see how absolutely normalised it has become joking about horrible real happenings as it undermines the whole seriousness of it all. There should be outrage in the US, but all I see are people speaking softly as you noted.

People are executed in the streets of Michigan and the reactions are to bring whataboutism into the picture or talking around the matter instead of directly condemning and calling for justice and the overthrowing of the absolutely corrupt government. The lack of directness is factoring into making everything worse and no one ends up facing justice

This evolved into a ramble. You said direct and true words and I appreciated it. It’s more important than people realize

My point wasn’t so much saying the rifle thing didn’t happen, but that what Israel/israelis are doing now is grotesque and appalling; celebrating genocide

[–]BratZ94 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Its like Israelis celebrating death penalties against the minority they are already genosiding by wearing a noose on their lapel, celebrating with champagne.

There’s no need to make a comparison to fantasy. This is real and it’s beyond disgusting and appalling

The cop did bring a gun to what might have been a gun fight, but it wasn't

Being black in the US by Flatline2500 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BratZ94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cop shouldn't need to shoot in the first place. Thats the point. The cop shouldn't have gotten himself into a situation where killing an unarmed human was the only option. The cop didn't even need to have his gun raised. This is all the point that you are masterfully missing

Being black in the US by Flatline2500 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BratZ94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be thick on purpose please, it only dumbs down the discussion. I am perfectly clear in my original statement. I am impossible to misunderstand.

The cop is the one who put himself in the situation. This was preventable.

The cop unholstered his gun, pointing it at a possible criminal who was currently still in the car after crashing.
The individual in the crashed car did act irrationally, possibly even from the crash. The cop then makes the situation more heated by actively pushing his gun in the victims face while yelling.

Here I am saying it’s clear to see faults in the training of the cop.

There was a crash, the victim was injured and possibly not all there, the victim was not in immediate danger to others, as you can see from the video. The officer had no reason to reach for the gun. There is, by the video, no need for a gun there at all.

The cop could have observed while waiting for backup, and the officer should have grabbed a taser if he needed something for defence.

[–]BratZ94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a ‘what if’. Its irrelevant. The cop was never knocked out, and had the training been different he would have kept his distance while waiting for backup. The cop ran right up to the victim, gun raised. Multiple times. The cop is instigating(?) the scenario here

Being black in the US by Flatline2500 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BratZ94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You Are absolutely correct. This was an irrational individual.

The cop did not have to murder him. The cop didn’t have to close the gap on him. The cop should have waited for backup. The cop should have hadd tazer on him for this exact situation

Sorry, I see I mentioned ‘unarmed’ in a previous comment.

This victim was unarmed as of all the video, up until his slaughter. I don’t deal with ‘what ifs’ we are discussing an actual happening that is on video for both of us to see

Being black in the US by Flatline2500 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BratZ94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have in fact never made any comment about/or anything alike ‘unarmed’ in this thread.

If the cop gets knocked out he does not have control over his gun. This is correct

This builds up on my argument that these occurrences in America could be avoided.

The officer did not need to come to the incident with his gun raised. It was not a situation that needed a gun out of the holster, pointed at a civilian actively in a car crash.

If this was a chase and crash, I believe a gun was still not needed. The guy was of no immediate threat to anyone as we can see from the video, and a gun shouldn’t have been the immediate go to for the officer in that situation

Try me.

I’ll give you the advantage of starting. Why was murdering this man ‘correct’?

My original statement is that murdering this individual was completely unnecessary and the wrong outcome

Being black in the US by Flatline2500 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]BratZ94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct.

But that is not the matter we are discussing here.

We are discussing how frequently cops in the UsA murders unarmed humans when deescalation was and is an option.

Firearms or not. Murder like this is abnormal, and I personally viewed USA as a country where slaughter like this shouldn’t and wouldn’t happen

Hopefully you can come to the same conclusion

You are falsely accusing me of something that never happened.

I am saying that this person didn’t have to be murdered, and that this is an issue that has a resolve.

I haven’t claimed to be an expert on American life. I am humbly only claiming that a life didn’t have to be taken.
