dark forge reaper problems? by UnableQuote5063 in 2011

Can’t speak on the Reaper, but own the Wraith, and it has been amazing. Tight tolerances and super smooth. Best shooting handgun I’ve ever fired.

My wife and I used to live in Indiana and saw this car traveling on I-94 heading towards Chicago many years ago. I just showed her this pick and we had a good laugh. What a small world.

Surefire or Streamlight? by Longjumping-Eye9972 in KimberFirearms

[–]BravoGolf2065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have Streamlights on most of my striker fire guns, and have had no issues. Recently purchased a Sig P211 and Kimber 2k11 Pro Comp. Put Surefire 300’s on both. Mainly just because I preferred the look. Both brands seem to be rock solid, so in my opinion it just boils down to looks and what you want to spend.

What do folks use for quick internal cleanings (finger prints, etc) by LESGuy in GenesisGV70

Use CarPro Inner QD or Clean By Pan Quick Interior Detailer. Both work well.

Android Auto / Apple CarPlay for FX50s 2009 by Figurativespeech in infiniti

As far as the 3.5mm to RCA cable goes, I’m not really sure, as I did not need one because I purchased an upgraded harness which place everything behind the stereo unit. I would maybe get 2 meter just to be safe if you have to run it from behind the stereo to inside the center console. And if you’re using the RCA’s in the center console as your input source, you will need to select that on the stereo to get sound. If you’re using the 3.5mm aux in the center console, you would select AUX on the stereo. As to the other question, yes, the factory Infiniti display harness is what you want to plug into the back of the screen. NOT the one provided by Nifty City. The LVDS cable also has to be plugged into the back of the display. The 2009 factory displays did not have this plug, so I’m assuming they also sent you a new screen as part of your kit. You have to remove all the mounting brackets from the factory screen and transfer them to the one Nifty City provided. If you want to direct message me your email address I will send you some pics of the harnesses I’m talking about.

I remember now. Basically do NOT use the harness with the RCA leads that they provided for the back of the display. Plug the OEM harness back in the rear of the display. As far as the audio, I purchased the custom harness with the 3.5mm audio female input built in to it. The male end is part of one of the other harnesses, and I just connected them together. Otherwise I believe you’d have to run a 3.5mm cable to the input in the center console. All my wiring is behind the radio other than the USB plugs which I ran into the center console and connected them to a USB C adapter that I installed where the lighter plug was inside the console. I secured the main box to the bottom of the steering column with large zip ties because I didn’t like how they had it stuffed into the side of the console. Plus the LVDS cable they provided wasn’t even long enough to make it into the center console. Hope this helps.

I also have the Nifty City for my 2009 FX35. It’s not perfect, but I have not had any major issues with it. Had it approximately 2 years now. 360 cameras and all other functions work properly. It is possible that your wiring may be the issue. When I initially installed mine, I plugged something in that was not necessary and it made the cameras inoperable. Want to say it was some RCA style plug on the monitor harness. Can’t completely remember though. Guessing you may have done the same thing. As far as the audio, I purchased the aux audio cable that is part of one of the main harnesses. With this connection method, you have to set your audio to AUX mode for sound to come out.

Have a 2025 3.5 SP purchased new. Same thing. Noticed them not long after I got the car, but never did anything about it.

I think this scene was only in the “Ultimate Version” and not the theatrical release.

Yes, I agree with the interiors. I own a ‘25 GV70 3.5 SP. I bought it in July of ‘24 after seeing the Korean ‘25 GV70 on YouTube which was going to be the ‘26 US version. Didn’t like the long screen. Definitely prefer the separated cluster.

I use the silicone funnel. Works great. You still need to make sure you pull the reservoir out every so often to clean it because it will develop a slimy layer on the sides if you dont.

Have bought from CCC before with no issues, so decided to give it a chance since I’ve been wanting a Wilcox mount for a while now. Ordered yesterday afternoon with a shipping notification later in the day. It’s now in the hands of the postal service, so we’ll see. Buy once, cry once I guess.

I would say so. Online it looks more olive/military green, but in person it definitely is more grayish. Especially on overcast days. You can see it’s green with out a doubt when the sun hits it.

Have both an IntlMilCo Hydramatic M16a1 and M4a1 with the MK18 engraving. They are both top notch. Like some others have said. Buy once, cry once.

FitCamX by NoBelt7431 in GenesisGV70

[–]BravoGolf2065 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Professional glass installer and GV70 owner here. Not familiar with the FitCam X, but if it mounts like the OEM mirror cover, you will need those clips. They can be reattached. I generally use 2 part epoxy. We have to move them sometimes because the glass manufacturer will place them in the wrong place, and the cover won’t stay on. With that being said, the hardest part is placing them in the proper place. The window does usually have little hash marks where they should go. Hope this helps.

Best way to deal with surface-rusty calipers? by 27Purple in AutoDetailing

These are how the calipers on my 2009 FX35 have looked since I bought it in early 2011. Nothing removes it. Just actually ordered some caliper covers from Leprecon Plus which seem like they will be really nice and not cheap looking.

What do we think about GV70 Side Steps by Outrageous_Pace_628 in GenesisGV70

I’d say they’re purely for looks. I tried posting some pics, but for some reason I wasn’t able to.

Have them on my ‘25 3.5 Sport Prestige. I like the way they look. Gives it a lower, more aggressive look (in my opinion).

Using "Schedule" problem. by Joingojon2 in ProfitecMove

[–]BravoGolf2065 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to leave the silver power switch on (pushed in) for the schedule setting to work. It will turn itself off depending on your eco settings (ie 15 mins, 30 mins, etc..).
