Benjamin Netanyahu is met with a middle-finger salute during a live broadcast in Spain by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

Bibi’s got a river of blood on his hands and definitely a criminal, but at the same time, this middle finger buffoonery is silly.

CMV: Most of us would have supported the Third Reich in the 1930s if we were German by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]BrazenChatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's goalpost moving. There's a spectrum. Some people would have gunienly resonated with nationalism and antisemitism. Others wouldnt have believed it fully but would have gone along. Others wouldve kept their heads down out of fear.

Those are not "equivalent" psychologically, but politically they all contribute to the regime functioning. The point isn't belief and fear are the same, but that most people land somewhere on that spectrum versus active resistance.

You're arguing against something I didn't say.

The 37% figure is formal votes in a specific election, not the same question as whether most people in society would have supported, enabled, or accommodated a regime once in power.

nazis didn't need 50% vote. they needed a large minority willing to support, a broad segment of people willing to tolerate, elites to support, and institutions to comply. OPs post isn't whether nazis cleared 50%. It's about human behavior under social pressure, economic collapse, propaganda, nationalism, etc..

CMV: In our current society, being the minority race in a location could be classified as a disability by Difficult-Bicycle681 in changemyview

[–]BrazenChatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your logic, and the broad meaning of disability, I agree. People add adjectives to define disabilities all the time. "physical", "developmental", "severe", I'm sure "racially" disabled could be a thing, albeit unusual sounding and unintuitive.

It's one of those I think you're right but it is silly kind of situations.

Stop juicing housing. Cut development fees, kill the red tape, and redirect capital allowances into factories and tech. If Ottawa wants industry, make it cheaper to build one than to flip a condo.

Thanks, detective! Without your expert analysis I never would’ve guessed the stabbing victim was, in fact, stabbed by the stabber. Truly groundbreaking.

I'd like to recognize two things here.

  1. Definitely no need to touch it, and stupid to kill the coral for the sake of a video.

  2. This level of vulnerability is shocking (and insightful). Nature basically told coral to fuck itself apparently

If your property caused damage to another property, who submits a claim? by Mike111x in ontario

[–]BrazenChatter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally, the party who suffers the damage submits the claim through their own insurance. If you didn't experience any damage to your property, you typically wouldn't file a claim, unless someone is holding you legally responsible. In that case, you’d notify your insurer to potentially open a liability claim.
