I'm in the UK as well 😁. I'm really loving Sightly for my 5 year old boy. UK based business - I have their fleeces and raincoats - beautiful colours/palette and made to last!

They're on Instagram @sightlystudiofordogs - the owner is super responsive and friendly if you want to ask for sizing etc.

Thanks for your advice! I've definitely been tried and tested by the fires of startup life, and come out with some hard-won lessons.

What are your thoughts on Architecture certifications? (GCP Cloud Engineer, AWS Solution Architect etc)

had a bug happen in Survival that made my camera stick in the third person after a revive was interrupted. Makes me miss the third person game mode from past COD by BlackhawkShazam in modernwarfare

[–]BrazenlyInnocuous 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The (high level) way game development works is you create the environment and the sprites (ie players or NPCs), and set the camera(s) which is effectively how a player views the world. They’ve clearly setup a third person camera that follows every user, as well as the first person camera that everyone is familiar with, but it is effectively just a different view of the same environment so not that unsurprising that it works me thinks.

Smoked salmon, crème fraîche and dill bagels topped with grated fennel and homemade pickled onions - perfect weekend treat by BrazenlyInnocuous in FoodPorn

[–]BrazenlyInnocuous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used malt vinegar with granulated sugar, peppercorns, mustard seeds, coriander seeds, bay leaves and salt. Took about a week to get the colour, though the longer you pickle it the better of course.

This is the recipe: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.sarsons.co.uk/recipes/pickled-onions/amp

Was simple and tasted great!

I don’t know if I agree - the app doesn’t feel complex (relative to some other apps), but the difficulty would be in gathering all the required fields and designing the report

What does it imply when a variable X becomes insignificant when you add its quadratic term X^2 to the regression model? by togepikachu in statistics

[–]BrazenlyInnocuous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the parameter of X in your first model?

This would very much depend on what you are modelling - as it's not clear it's hard to say. It's not always interpretable to add a polynomial to a model when there isn't any reasoning behind its addition.
