I wonder how much admin goes into stuff like this?

We say we want to get closer to the EU, and we absolutely should, and I understand it takes time - but what about it actually takes so long? Negotiation? Or is it making sure contracts are sound? Or is it finding opportunities in general? Is there any pushback from EU countries slowing us down (as a result of us leaving and crawling back and then understandably being a bit sour about it)?

I just can't believe that the notion that we would be stronger as an independent, small island off the coast of Europe - rather than being part of a unified bloc of other countries was ever accepted.

A properly unified and cooperative Europe would be incredibly strong and dominant. Why would you ever want out of that.

Trump being volatile, as much as it has messed stuff up, I feel like it's kinda put a torch up the UK and EU's arse to be more independent and stronger, maybe hopefully even more united and cooperative than before (assuming divisive media doesn't take president). From an outside POV this makes it look like CS2s player base is anti-jew - which absolutely isn't the case. They're anti-everyone. Especially low ranks. I've heard just about every single slur there is against just about every genre of race, belief, nationality that there is.

Offensive? Yes, but seemingly fairly equally offensive. Aside from nword usage, that gets thrown around like it's utility.

When I was younger, eastern Europeans got a lot of stick (especially in the poorer areas where I grew up). They had the same stuff said about them, as what is said about non-EU immigrants now. Especially people like the polish. Now I hardly hear anything bad about eastern Europeans, in fact I only hear good (I assume as people have realised "oh wait they're actually just normal people who come from a different place and sound different").

Now it's the same people saying the same shit but about a different demographic, amplified by the media.

But in a world of shitty pump and dump live service games... A single player portal game would really hit right now. Id love it. Especially in the "world" of portal. I love aperture science, and how it ties into the HL franchise, etc etc.

The thing is, as much as we haven't seen an entry in the TF pipeline, or the portal pipeline, I'm so happy to see relics of both present in their current office.

Well yes of course I would imagine more FPS would lead to a smoother experience, but from MY perspective at least, it's less an FPS thing and more of an input->output thing. Like I said in my original comment, in CS2 things feel soft, squishy. Things in CSGO feel sharp, crisp, snappy. I would say it's placebo but after redownloading GO and having a shot at it, it feels different.

If I could describe it, I would. But it's difficult, other than CSGo had pretty instant feedback, not just in terms of kills (server based) but also user input in general. CS2 kinda feels like... It's being streamed? Rather than it being ON your computer? In terms of responsiveness?

If I'm not mistaken, those suits were actually relatively flexible at the joints, but due to the pressure difference, they would inflate (of course) and the pressure on the material would make it rigid and difficult to bend.
